Hello, It's Menstrual Health Day!!!

Today, 28th May 2024, Menstrual Health Day, some notable women @e_s_te_ll_e @toyosi_a_ @floralxoxo__ and I have decided to come together to celebrate and also educate the society on Menstrual Health Day, it's objectives, and how it is to be celebrated.
We also took to liberty to delve into period poverty which appears to be plaguing society especially indigents as sanitary pads have become a luxury item following inflation in the society.
We addressed the causes, the effects, and the solution of the subject matter period poverty in the video below.
Today, let us do more than social media campaigns and awareness, one-on-one or mass physical education of girls and women should be done.
Also, if you know anyone around you who might be experiencing period poverty, gift them sanitary pads, if you have the ability to, you can also show them how to make and gift them reusable pads.
Also, have conversations as regards menstrual health with your friends and colleagues at work. Menstruation as a word isn't a taboo to be unheard of. Rather, it is a term used to describe the vaginal bleeding of a woman at a period during her monthly cycle. Menstruation is a combination of blood, mucus, and some cells from the shedding of the uterus lining. A woman's body naturally prepares for pregnancy, and in the event that pregnancy does not occur, the uterus sheds its lining.
It occurs throughout every woman's reproductive life. In a situation where a girl/ woman is unable to menstruate, she is advised to see a medical doctor as it might be a result of medical conditions like PCOS, ovarian cyst, etc.
Menstrual health is something to be proud of and talked about.
The theme for this year is a "Period Friendly World". No one will create a period-friendly world for us (women and girls) unless we take up the initiative ourselves.
Share this video with your circle to ignite a conversation on Menstrual Health.
Also, drop a myth on menstrual health that you've heard of to keep the conversation going.

Happy Menstrual Health Day!!!
Cheers to a Period Friendly World!

Today,I had the privilege to speak with the students of Mary Immaculate Grammar school, Ado-Ekiti on the topic “period poverty”. The discussion I had with them
made them understand that period poverty is not just the inability to have access to sanitary pads but also the inability to have access to other resources needed for good menstrual hygiene. Glad to have worked with amazing ladies on this project, @floralxoxo__ , and @_m_e_e_n______ . We were also able to donate sanitary pads to the school.
Grateful to @the_life_haven_initiative for this opportunity.

Cheers to more Opportunities and successful Projects.🥂

On April 26, 2024, myself and my fellow Climate Justice Youth Ambassador, @temiloluwaolowoyo had the opportunity to organize a community outreach in Ekiti State, to celebrate Earth day 2024.

We visited the members of Aba igbira community, Ado-Ekiti where we sensitized them on the need to end single use of plastics and all they need to do to keep the planet safe. Also, plastics that have been wrongly disposed in the community were picked and a recycle bin was donated to them in order to ensure that plastics are properly collected and recycled.

The members of the community were so happy to have us in their midst and they promised to put into practice all that they were taught.

I’m grateful to @oxfaminnigeria for the opportunity given to me to serve as a Climate Justice Youth Ambassador and for sponsoring all of our activities. Long live @oxfaminnigeria, long live African Activists for Climate Justice (AACJ).

Also, I’ll love to appreciate all the volunteers who joined us on the project, @floralxoxo__ , @gbohunmi_phil, @onlyonesoft, @_m_e_e_n______ and Amarvel. We had a successful outreach because of your contributions.

As we go through our journey in life, let us not forget that every of our actions will always contribute to the state of the Earth. Let’s save the planet Earth now by doing the right thing so that we and our unborn children can have a safe planet to stay.❤️

A visit to the special school of the blind, Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State.❤️😍🤗 You can tell from this video that I was elated to be with them, It gladdens my heart to see that the Government of Ekiti state deemed it fit to build a school for them in a serene environment.
The outreach is in celebration of 100 days in office of the Ekiti Youth Parliament, 4th assembly, where I serve as the Senior Legislative Aide on Programs and Projects to the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, @oluwadamilola_agbaje_fatimat
The outreach was ably led by the Honorable Speaker of the parliament, @babznathans .Cheers to more fruitful days in the office.
The special children made my day, their ability to feel everything happening around them shows that God has deposited a special gift in every one of us based on our strength. Yours is different from mine, all that is expected of us is to make use of our gifts in a way that’ll make us happy and also contribute to the happiness of others around us.❤️

PC: @floralxoxo__ ❤️
@temiloluwaolowoyo, thank you for compiling the video.🤗

Earlier this year, the office of the Deputy Speaker, 4th Assembly, Ekiti State Youth Parliament where I serve as the Senior Legislative Aide on Programs and Projects organized a virtual challenge where participants were told to make a video, suggest ideas on how youth become more involved in Governance In Ekiti State in line with the United Nations Youth Agenda 2030.

After thorough scrutiny of the submissions of all participants, @temiloluwaolowoyo emerged as the winner.

Today, the participants together with the Deputy Speaker, 4th assembly, Ekiti State Youth Parliament, @oluwadamilola_agbaje_fatimat and the members of her team met with the commissioner for youth development, Ekiti State, Hon. Adesola Gold Adedayo. The commissioner listened to our ideas, and commended the Deputy Speaker on how she’s using her office to amplify the voices of the youths, promote youth participation and involvement in Governance in Ekiti state.

Indeed, the Government of Ekiti state has great plans for the youths and I’m elated about the great future that await the youths in Ekiti state.

Global Praise!

It’s a pleasure to have moderated the panel session on the topic, “The Role of Institutional Training and Clinical Legal Education in promoting Alternative Dispute Resolution” during the Inaugural National ADR Conference that was held at Abuja Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The panelists, Hauwa Kaka Usman,FCIArb (UK), FICMC and Uwais Abdulrahma, helped delegates gain deeper insight of the topic by answering the questions they were asked brilliantly.

You all can see how excited and comfortable I am in the video, it’s always a delight to moderate conferences and host events.🤗😁
