Turning 19! re-edited from @christyziyanzheng ‘s original clips #birthday #nyu #nyc by @eaason_wang
1️⃣9️⃣🎂🥳 This past year flew by so fast, and just like that, I’m another year older. It feels surreal to think that I’ll be turning 20 in just one more year. Funnily enough, everyone’s birthday gifts this year unintentionally followed an art theme: colored pencils, a Bong Joon Ho’s art book, journal sticky notes, a poem, The Met edition of Monopoly, a giant seashell… and a book thoughtfully designed by Ziyan called Chasing After the Wind (《捕风》). It’s a collection of the poems and prose I wrote last semester, capturing my journey and reflections throughout freshman year at Stern I really wonder what 10-year-old me would think if he saw all the gifts I got today hahaha by @eaason_wang
One hour. Seven apps. Zero excuses. NYU students built everything from an ASL interview tool to a spring roll explorer at our Gemini x Tech@NYU Hackday. If they can ship that in 60 minutes, imagine what you can do with the Gemini app in your pocket 👀 Huge thanks to everyone who came out and built. More Gemini events coming this semester, stay tuned. #Google #Gemini #GeminiApp #GoogleAI #googlestudentambassador by @eaason_wang

Two years ago, in our second month of freshman year, we climbed Cold Spring together. Two years later, somehow, it’s the same people, the same mountain, the same Uno, and the same view at the top. While editing the video, I caught myself getting confused about which moments were from two years ago and which ones were from today. Almost everything looked the same. And yet, somehow, we weren’t. Maybe growing up is just that. Returning to the same places with a slightly different heart. So this time, we slowed down. A little less rushing forward. 🌱I’ve never made a video with so little editing before. Went to the New York Botanical Garden with @christyziyanzheng, and somehow, time seemed to freeze there. For once, I didn’t want to cut away. I wanted to stay with the moment: to watch the petals unfold, to notice how slowly a rose grows, to let nature and time exist together without rushing either of them. I realized that the ability to slow down is a kind of ability in itself. Maybe we’re so afraid of wasting time that we forget what time is for. Isn’t life also made for these moments - when nothing needs to happen, and we can simply be there? #slowlife #beingpresent #naturelovers #mindfulmoments by @eaason_wang
Never knew longhorns were into Dunkin’ Donuts and burritos 😂🐮🍩 Apparently, they have pretty good taste too. #Longhorn #Burrito #FarmLife by @eaason_wang

That’s a wrap on my very first short film! (Not really though 💀) We shot an epic, tragic tale of deserts, floods, and destiny inside a handmade set that looks exactly like a hotpot, proudly named the “Hotpot Fortress” 🍲 The production design was 100% handcrafted, taking a whopping 50 minutes of hard work. 🎬 Director + DP: Eason 🌟 Starring: Ziyan’s fingers ✌️😂 📍 Coney Island by @eaason_wang

Happy 1-year Anniversary Ziyan! Before realizing it, it’s April 6th again. This year was full of bless, love, and happiness. I feel really blessed that God brings you into my life. We made so many memories together. And I know they will be so valuable for lifelong time: The Harry Potter show in March, the cherry blossom in central park in April, the 1 John 4:19 bracelet in May, the 12-hour-difference call in June, the dream book I drew in July, the hot summer night of Chengdu in August (the best summer), little clay sheep we made in your dorm in September, the best sunrise birthday at Brooklyn Bridge in October, wonderful trip and your rebirth at Florida in November, little AI prometheus during December winter break, Grandpa Thai in January, your birthday right before Valentine in February, Brandon Lake concert in March again. And it’s April. Again. What a year. 🥳 by @eaason_wang
