I think for many of us, we’ve know long before the pandemic, the amazing food, beer and coffee city Sacramento is. But it can feel pretty good when you see so many that worked so hard to get us to this place recognized. The @nytimes doesn’t name everyone, but it certainly covers some ground. And it is absolutely right that if not for the confluence of our farmers, chefs, bakers, brewers, roasters, and the teams that work with them, all calling Sacramento home, the rest of us wouldn’t eat so well. And if it weren’t for programs like Family Meal during the pandemic, many of our restaurants wouldn’t still be here…let alone the thousands of families they fed.

Thank you to those that spent generations to get us to this culinary destination - family farms, Corti, Dan Best and our farmers markets, Biba, Frank Fats and many family restaurants in historic neighborhoods like Little Saigon. The entrepreneurs and dreamers who saw the next chapter - Sellands, Paragarys, Mulvaneys, Ginger Elizabeth, Clay, Brad, Oliver, Josh, Old Soul, Temple, N’Gina, Ernesto, Chandos, Binchoyaki and Billy. And thank you to those that now share their gift and call Sacramento home. Lastly, thank you to Mike Testa and @visitsacramento for providing the platform to tell our @sacfarm2fork story and GSEC for the joint pitch. Now, let’s eat!!!
