Artists in the Bay! You’re invited to our Artist Meetup.

This is a gathering for artists of all mediums and experience levels to connect, share resources, and co-design a better vision for the Bay Area arts community. Come out and connect, play, rest, and build a Bay Area Renaissance with us!

Date: August 23rd, 2026
Time: 3 PM - 5 PM
Location: The Nook, 1242 Market St Floor 2, San Francisco, CA 94103
Cost: Free!

The gathering will be semi-structured, allowing time for both collective conversation and unstructured exploration and mingling. We’ll have artistic inspiration, resource tables, craft stations, and snacks! Nothing for you to prepare, just bring yourself — and a friend if you’d like.

What is EACH?

EACH is a volunteer team of artists building a community and resource hub for fellow Bay Area artists to find the connections and resources necessary to thrive, toward a more vibrant, conscious Bay Area. Our vision is a Bay Area Creative Renaissance, where art flows like water. We’re combating isolation, silos, and resource scarcity that leave artists precarious and lonely. We believe that when artists are resourced and connected, and when neighbors can find their way to the artists who see them, there is more space for truth and play in public life. More beauty. More courage. More civic imagination. We’re excited to loop you into this vision.

We’re gathering again. Come hang out with other Bay Area artists, meet people, share what you’re working on, and see who’s out here making things.

This one is special: it’s the inaugural event at Clementina, a reimagined gallery space in SOMA. Let’s help soft launch this community arts node together, and help the team envision how it can serve our community.

🏔️update: i spent a week in Dharamsala last month for the Dalai Lama Fellows Assembly! i had the honor of gathering in the Himalayan foothills with compassionate leaders from Nigeria, India, Palestine, Iran, Nepal, Argentina, the Philippines, Tibet, Ladakh, and beyond 🙏🏾 we had our own little world cup of inner values in North India 😉 and we got to meet His Holiness, and hear him share a hopeful message about how the next generation is taking up the charge of spreading compassion through action.

what i carried home to the bay:
I'm reminded that the more we lean into the mindset of service, "others before self," the more happiness and inner peace we make available to ourselves and others. i tend to the seed of compassionate humanity in me, and that thread carries through the twists and turns of life in community. and a little tasteful mischief can go a long way 😈 for both laughter and new perspectives.

i also got to build bridges with incredible people like @ofrevivian who runs @hiifive_creative. she shared earth-shaking poetry, and asked the question that's been ringing in my soul ever since: who heals the artists who heal the world?

that question also guides my work with @eachartistbayarea, artists supporting artists, helping neighbors find the art that speaks to them, more rooms and backyards and storefronts where art can bloom. peer support as public health and compassion as infrastructure.

the fellowship asked each of us to put compassion into action. this is ours!

Join @eachartistbayarea on Friday, April 17, 5–8 PM for the second iteration of “Artists Live Here: Community Convening”, a free, drop-in gathering that brings our arts community together for collective action, resource sharing, and civic engagement. Held at SOMArts (934 Brannan St.), Artists Live Here offers space for community building and connection, engaging in civic processes and preparing for upcoming actions including an Arts Advocacy Day rally on Tuesday, April 21, 11:30 AM at City Hall.
