At this point in my life I just want to tell cool stories, build cars and go racing 😂🤣 I'm very lucky to be able to do these fun projects.In total it took 12hrs for six @eagbmw techs to take this E36 apart. Which really goes to show how complicated these German cars are compared to the Japanese equivalent.One of the things that I have been openly talking about is the fact that when I documented my R34 restoration with @garage_yoshida, it was nothing special or out of the ordinary from what Kozo Yoshida normally does. It was one of the many skylines he has restored already in his lifetime. I just happened to be there with cameras to document it. This is going to be the same case with my E36 M3 restoration. EAG has restored hundreds of cars, but none of them have been documented before. I'm looking forward to showing you folks the process. After this the paint gets stripped and the engine goes to the machine shop for a complete rebuild. As the original one that came with the car was blown. The one that we took out of it just now was from an SMG model from 1999. We suspect that it never ran correctly because of that.#eagbmw #hagerty #kwsuspension #fcpeuro #e36 by @eagbmw

Day 1 of my E36 restoration at @eagbmw. Huge thanks to @drewleslie for taking the lead on this project.Seeing the S50B32 outside for the car for the first time really does remind me of the fact that people refer to it as half a McLaren F1 engine.Just in the first day we have uncovered so many more surprises on this literal lemon 🍋. We already knew the passenger side corner had been hit, but now we know the driver side front and the rear quarter was also hit and one entire section is bondo. The entire car has been repainted as well, so this may be its third life. Who knows what else we will find as we take the body parts off 😂🤣This is going to be a very extensive restoration! As I mentioned in my R34 video the parts and labor cost with my engine rebuild was about $100k. The paint and body was $72k. You folks saw the results from my GTR restoration.Because the E36 has to have the entire interior replaced along with an engine rebuild the total cost may reach over $150k. Thank goodness I have incredible partners that will help along the way. It also helps that EAG has many of the parts needed to restore this car to a like new condition. Although you can bet we will be sourcing many items from @fcpeuro.My goal with this project is to show what is possible in terms of restoring a car like this. Because it's not going to be worth more than we put into it. It's not like we can turn it around and sell it for $200k. But these cars are getting to the age where plenty could use a full restoration. My car is exactly 30 years old. Today @EagBMW started the extensive tear down for my full down to metal restoration on my Dakar Yellow BMW E36 M3. It's also known as "Larry's Lemon 🍋". This is a European version so it came with the S50B32 engine.It took six hours to get the drive line and all the interior out.Tomorrow we take apart the body to get ready for paint stripping.I'm going to document the entire process on the @hagerty YouTube, just like I did with my R34 at @garage_yoshida.Huge thanks to @fcpeuro, @garagistic and @kw_suspension for jumping on this project with me. E90 M3 CRT road trip! 1,100 miles later and I’ve got unlimited memories and laughs with my brother @awjones1 in the worlds greatest @bmwm We started @eagbmw in Cincinnati and finished in Orlando FL after making a pitstop @bmwccafoundation for their new 40 years of M3 exhibit.I wish we vlogged this one for you all because this one was a blast! by @eagbmw

M4 CSL - white with carbon and red accents. Carbon hood, roof, and trunk lid, carbon fiber bucket seats, trim, essentially a track day car.And it sounds rowdy on a cold-start! by @eagbmw

Despite Chris Bangle’s polarizing designs, for the time, I always appreciated this generation of Z4. These side indicators in the fenders should be wired into the parking lights. Such a cool little detail. @chrisbangleassociates by @eagbmw
