The arrival of warn weather means I'll be outside more than I am at my drafting board. I'll be outside absorbing as much nature as possible for inspiration.

Male cardinal at my #birdbuddy feeder. His girlfriend is waiting in the tree above. He feeds her. He'll make a great tata.

I know @sloveniankitchenbymichelle calls these "Forgotten Cookies" but I beg her to reconsider and rename them "Disappearing Cookies" because that's what happens when I make them- they disappear faster than I can put them on a plate! Thank you, Michelle, for sharing yet another delectable dessert recipe! They're delicious (BTW,I used butterscotch chips along everything else as suggested and they're a hit!).
I might be a type 1 diabetic but that doesn't mean I can't make sweet treats for the ones I love🥰🇸🇮

With the help of tutorials from @sloveniankitchenbymichelle , I was able to keep more family traditions alive and well this holiday season. I used recipes from #sloveniankitchenbymichelle for Forgotten Cookies (bottom left), Medenjaki (my royal icing game needs some fine tuning😆🤷🏻‍♀️), and Breskvice.
I used my Slovenian mom's recipes for the baklava and rum balls.
