The Red Fox has the largest natural distribution of any land mammal other than humans. This painting celebrates Najin, 35 year old matriarch and one of the last two of the Northern White Rhinoceros left on earth. Najin and 24 year old daughter Fatu, live under armed guard in Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya, where they once roamed in large herds. The Pig, the Pouf and the Florentine Chandelier. This little guy was such a delight to create. I'll never tire of inventing creatures and bringing them safely inside to be spotlit and given the recognition they so deserve. Pigs have long been one of my favorites, they're as intelligent as a four year old child. This is an ode to Moritz the German pig who opened my 13 year old eyes to the magic of such marvellous creatures. 48" x 36" Oil on canvas.
