What a blast emceeing “The Bronx Barn Bash,” - Ignite 2026 at @fordhamprep! We raised important funds for Student Scholarships and Magis Initiatives. The theme was fantastic this year. @eamonmacnyc was an amazing partner during the live auction. And just like that your run as a sports parent comes to an end. No more turning storage into a multi-purpose indoor practice facility. No more weekends in someplace called Spooky Nook. No more mad dashes from the L on 6th to the 1,2 or 3 on 7th to make it to practice on 137th street. No more silent rides stuck in Buckner traffic because apparently you’re not allowed to talk about the game on the ride home. No more drives over the Verrazano knowing you’re going to get hosed every way possible by the refs. So many great memories but I want to let young parents know you’re not an awful human being if you secretly hope your child’s team loses once you’re told “If we win we hang out to see who wins the next game because we might be in the finals.
