I miss you!

I honestly don’t know how to write this and that’s a big reason why it’s taken so long.

Tuesday, my mom passed away, and even typing that still doesn’t seem real.

When I think about Mom, I keep coming back to all the little things that made her who she was.

She absolutely loved sports, especially OSU. My parents had football and basketball season tickets for almost 30 years, and OSU was just part of our family. If sports weren’t on, there was a good chance she and Dad were watching an old western.

Mom could talk to anyone. She could meet someone for the first time and five minutes later you’d swear they had known each other for 20 years.

Our house was the same way as everyone was welcome. There was always another place at the table and always enough food. If you left our house hungry…that was your own fault. 🤣

Which is funny because Mom absolutely HATED to cook. We ate at El Chico so much growing up that the manager actually gave my parents a Christmas present one year. 🤣

Mom didn’t need much to make her happy. Give her family, Dad beside her, Sheba her Corgi, an OSU game, a good book and somewhere to go eat afterward…and she was pretty content.

There are a million stories I could tell about Mom, and I know I’ll think of a million more in the days and years ahead.

If you knew her, I hope when you think about her, you remember something that makes you smile. Because there was a lot to smile about.

I love you, Mom. I’m going to miss you more than I can put into words.

But after five years without Dad, there is some comfort in knowing you two are together again. I can only imagine the conversations you’ve already had catching up.

I hope you’ve got a good book nearby, Sheba is right there with you, Dad is watching an old western, and the two of you have the best seats in the house for every OSU game.

Happy Birthday to my favorite wife, Katrina. ❤️

There are some people who come into your life and change it forever. You are that person for me.

We’ve spent so many years building this life together, and when I look around at everything we have, our boys, our family, our businesses, the memories we’ve made, the hard seasons we’ve gotten through, and all the dreams we’re still chasing I realize that none of it would mean nearly as much without you beside me.

I’ve watched you grow through so many different chapters of life, but somehow I keep falling in love with every version of you.

I love the woman you were when we first started this journey, the woman you’ve become, and the woman you’re still becoming.

I love watching you with Mike and Oliver. I love the way you fight for the people you love. I love your strength, your heart, your stubbornness 😂, your smile, and even all those little things about you that only someone who has shared a life with you gets to know.

We’ve had incredible days together, and we’ve had days that tested us. But through all of it, there has never been anyone else I would rather have standing next to me.

Sometimes life moves so fast that we forget to look at the person beside us and realize just how much of our story they’ve been there for.

You’ve been there for mine.

And if I could go back and choose all over again, knowing everything this life would bring us, I’d still choose you.

Every single time. ❤️

I hope you know how loved you are, how appreciated you are, and how incredibly thankful I am that I get to grow older with you. Thanks for not trading me in🥰

The best parts of our story are still ahead of us.

Whew! This summer has been hot and August flew by. A week until I’m 41 with a PR to close out the month. #205 wasn’t pretty but it got off the ground.

Did I complete 75 Medium- short answer, Nope. But I did way more than I would have without a system in place. I’m still going to be pushing myself because I’m not where I want to be, yet!

I’ll be starting another round of 75 “something” when I finish this one! by @earldillwith

Seventeen years.

It’s hard to put into words everything those years have held. We’ve celebrated incredible highs, walked through some difficult lows, and built a life together that I’m grateful for every single day.

Thank you for being my best friend, my biggest supporter, and the person who has stood beside me through every season. You’ve made me a better husband, a better father, and a better man.

Watching the life we’ve created together with our boys, our businesses, our dreams, and even the everyday moments is something I’ll never take for granted.

If I had the chance to do it all over again, I’d still choose you. Every single time.

Happy 17th Anniversary. I love you more than words can say, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter of our story brings. ❤️
