Hello and welcome
If you’re new here, thank you for following, it’s lovely to have you.
I thought I’d reintroduce myself for my new followers.
I’m Clare, the founder of Earth Interiors. My background is in fashion buying, where I spent years immersed in colour, texture, storytelling and sustainability, values that still sit at the heart of everything I do today.
Earth Interiors is about creating homes that feel considered, calm and deeply personal. Spaces that are beautiful, but also practical, grounded and kind to the planet. I love helping clients bring their creative visions to life, translating ideas, feelings and aspirations into interiors that feel genuine and authentic.
If you’re here for thoughtful design, earthy palettes, layered textures and a bit of gorgeousness along the way… you’re in the right place.
Thank you for being here

Who doesn’t love a cosy corner, somewhere to pause, read a book or have a cup of tea and take five minutes.
When I can my designs will always include a calm spot for quiet contemplation. Your home is your sanctuary and should be a place where you can relax and be totally comfortable.

This picture is a corner of a study in a recent project , the reading corner is highlighted by the stunning burnt orange Porada chair.

A timeless scheme for this beautiful Edwardian home, where old and new come together to create a space that feels personal and lived in.
The delicate leaf wallpaper provides a soft backdrop to the beautiful spring-green sofas, while some of the home’s existing furniture was given a new lease of life through thoughtful reupholstery.
We added new pieces too from statement lighting to fabrics incorporating recycled content, but the intention was never to replace everything.

Some of the most interesting interiors are created by mixing what you already love with something new. A treasured piece of furniture, a favourite chair or something inherited can bring character and a sense of history that you simply can’t buy new.

For me, good interior design is about creating a home that feels like you , considered, comfortable and collected over time.

A glimpse of a few bathrooms I’ve designed along the way, including this recent dark and luxurious cloakroom.
The project is still at build stage, and this final image is an AI-generated visual that I created, but there’s a lot of considered design before we get to this stage. So, what goes into planning a bathroom before we get to the beautiful final image?

• 2D space planning
• Colour schemes & moodboards
• Detailed 3D modelling
• Fixture, fitting & tile selection
• Bespoke joinery design
• Contractor liaison & technical drawings
• Sourcing, including a trip to the stone merchants for this fabulous Violetta marble
• Final visual sign-off

Beautiful bathrooms start with thoughtful planning and execution

If you’re not sure where to start, Get in touch to discuss how we can help you.

How does the changing of the seasons affect how you feel about your home?

Do you find yourself drawn to cosier, more comforting colours as autumn arrives?

September is a great time for a little refresh, whether that’s a new coat of paint or simply introducing some new accessories.

A quick change of cushion covers, or adding a few autumnal shades to your flowers, can make all the difference.

Working with our Harpenden renovation clients, I loved creating this earthy, warm green and terracotta scheme the perfect combination for a cosy, comfortable snug. 🤎

This month I am celebrating four years of Earth Interiors! 🥂
I am delighted to have got to this point. It’s been quite a journey, with plenty of highs and some challenges along the way. Over the last four years, I’ve worked on all sorts of projects, from new builds and full renovations to helping clients transform individual rooms in their homes. I love the variety of what I do and the fact that no two projects or clients are ever the same.

When I started Earth Interiors, I wanted to build a business on the foundations of trust, honesty and transparency. Those principles are still as important to me today, along with encouraging more sustainable choices and creating homes that support the wellbeing of the families living in them.

But probably the thing I’m most proud of is the personal service I’m able to offer. I genuinely love getting to know my clients, understanding how they live and what they want from their homes, and then helping bring it all together.
I feel very lucky to be doing something I love, and a huge thank you to all my clients for trusting me with your homes.
This little film tells a bit more of my story and why I started Earth Interiors.
If there’s one thing I’ve learnt over the last four years, it’s that it’s never too late to make a change, dream big, work hard and have faith.

Thank you to the talented Alan King from AJK productions for bringing my story to life.

Who wouldn’t want to relax in this sunny little corner of our clients’ kitchen? ☀️
I always love creating a calm corner to enjoy a coffee, read a book or simply pause and take a moment. ♥️

The best design decisions are often the ones you never notice… until they’re missing.
💡 Have you thought about your lighting and electrical plan yet?
When you’re renovating, it’s easy to focus on kitchens, bathrooms and finishes, but one of the most important decisions happens right at the start.

Where will you charge your phone? Do you want bedside pendants instead of table lamps? Should your kitchen lighting work differently for cooking, dining and entertaining? Is there lighting to highlight artwork, or enough sockets where you actually need them?
These are all things I consider when creating a lighting and electrical plan for my clients.
It gives your builder and electrician clear instructions before first fix, helping to avoid costly changes and ensuring your home doesn’t just look beautiful, it works seamlessly for you.

It’s one of those details you’ll rarely notice when it’s done well… but you’ll notice every day if it hasn’t been thought through.

If you’re planning a renovation and aren’t sure where to start, I’d love to help guide you through the process

It was such a pleasure to return to my clients’ home in Harpenden to photograph the finished renovation. Seeing a project fully complete and happy clients is always incredibly rewarding.

The design was carefully considered around modern family life, creating a variety of spaces to gather, relax and unwind. The expansive kitchen and dining area is flooded with beautiful natural light through the large glazed doors, we created a calming palette of soft neutrals, earthy greens and warm terracotta brings warmth, balance.

Thanks to the talented @johnnassari and @sg.interiors.styling for helping me bring this to life

Receiving testimonials at the end of a project is always incredibly rewarding. They remind me that interior design is about so much more than creating beautiful homes, it’s about the trust, collaboration and relationships we build along the way.

When you’re building or renovating, you’ll spend a lot of time with your designer, so having the right relationship is just as important as having the right design. It’s that partnership that helps make the whole journey more enjoyable and successful.
I was fortunate enough to work with these truly wonderful clients for over two years. Together, we carefully planned every detail of their home, from layouts, colours and bespoke joinery to kitchens, bathrooms, lighting, electrics and so much more.

Renovating is a complex process with countless decisions to make, and my role is to help guide you through it with confidence, saving time, reducing stress and adding value every step of the way.

Now, as their home is almost complete and ready to welcome the family back, I’ll genuinely miss working with them. Wishing them many years of happiness in their beautiful new home. 💕

If you’re planning a renovation and would like some help bringing your vision to life, I’d love to hear from you.

A glimpse inside our Passivhaus project…
While the home is still under construction, our clients can already begin to imagine their future sanctuary.

The brief was to create a serene, spa-inspired en-suite that celebrates natural materials and a deep connection with nature. The design will feature a bespoke sauna, walk-in rain shower, beautiful soapstone and limestone, finished with handcrafted Tadelakt plaster for a timeless, tactile feel.

An internal garden of carefully selected planting and natural stone will bring nature into the heart of the space, creating a calming focal point and enhancing the feeling of wellbeing.

At Earth Interiors, we believe luxury lies in thoughtful design, exceptional materials and creating spaces that go beyond the ordinary.
