This is probably the best place to start if we're going to decide whether we're going to be friends.

I'm Prue. Mum. Business owner. Chronic overthinker. Professional yapper. And despite the calming blue aesthetic, absolute fucking chaos on legs. Oh yeah… and I swear… A lot!

But there's a little more to my story.

Earth Sugar wasn't born from a cute business idea or a perfectly mapped-out plan.

It came from survival.

I've lived through things that changed me. I've known grief that completely rearranges you. I've experienced relationships that made me question my worth. I've had to rebuild my life more than once.

There were chapters where I was so busy surviving that I forgot I was allowed to actually live.

So I rebuilt. Piece by piece.

I became a mum again. I found myself again. I built a business. I built a life I actually love.

And somewhere along the way, I realised:
Why do we wait until we're completely burnt out before we decide we're worthy of taking care of ourselves?

Why can't we have a long ass bath?
Why can't we buy the ridiculously good body butter for ourself?
Why can't we make the ordinary Tuesday shower feel a lil bougie?

Why the fuck not? That's the heart of Earth Sugar.

Not perfection. Not another impossible routine. Not becoming someone new.

Just little moments that remind you:
You're here.
You matter.
You deserve nice things too.

Because I've been the woman who forgot that.

So if you've been through some shit, you're carrying too much, you're rebuilding, you're exhausted, or you're always putting everyone else first...

Me, "patiently" waiting for my shipment notifications like

“It’s been 84 years…” 🥲

And before anyone asks...YES, I am still waiting.
YES, there has been another delay.
YES, I check my emails approximately 47 times a day.
NO, I am not handling it well. 🫪

At this point I’m not even asking for much. I just want my body oil bottles to arrive so I can make my girls’ skin hydrated, glowy and delicious. Is that too much to ask?!?!?!!

Anyway… tomorrow’s another day.

Well… we’re back to 75 days. 👀

If you watched the reel, you already know the story: shipping delays. Lots of them. I do not need that stress in my life, so I worked with it instead of against it.

I’ve actually been contemplating pushing the relaunch back for a couple of weeks now, and I kept going back and forth on it. But I don’t want to leave it until the last minute, panic because things haven’t arrived, and try to scramble everything together.

So… screw it. I moved the date moving it. Small business owner privilege??😂

I’m giving myself that extra month, giving myself some grace, and as I write this, I immediately feel more relaxed.

Now I know I have enough time to execute everything on my end properly, while also giving my delayed shipments a little breathing room.

Will everything still arrive later than originally expected? Almost definitely. 😂

But at least now, it’s within the 75-day window.

So here we are.

Yep, you heard it here first. I’m shutting it down.

After a lot of consideration, I’ve decided it’s simply not worth my time anymore.

Obviously, I’m kidding. 😂

I’m not giving up on this dream. If anything, everything is finally starting to fall into place and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead for Earth Sugar.

This was actually just a conversation I was having with my six-year-old while wandering the aisles of Woolworths yesterday. He’s got his entire orange juice business mapped out, including staff responsibilities, pricing and, apparently, a very generous employee pay rate. 🤑🤑

And honestly?

I hope one day I am getting paid $120 an hour. 😂

Until then… Earth Sugar it is. 💙

THE LABELS ARE DONE. 🥹😅🙃💀

I know, I know… you’re probably sick of hearing me talk about labels. 😂... TRULY.... I’m just as sick of talking about them.

But they’re one of those boring, fundamental parts of setting up a business, especially when you’re redoing EVERYTHING. Not glamorous, not exciting, but absolutely necessary.

And guess what? THEY’RE DONE. 🎉

Correct. Cohesive. Even. All the boxes officially ticked.
Mentally, physically, spiritually… I am FREE.
I'm also mentally, physically and spiritually checked out from these now 😅

I never want to see another label again... knowing full well ill have to resist this sooner or later!

Also yes, I really do wear these ridiculous little heart glasses around my office. They’re basically part of the uniform now. 💙🤓

So... funny story. 😅😬 It's acrually not funny at all 😭

I started filming a video to show you all my new packaging when I looked at my body oil bottles and thought...

"Hang on... where are they?"

Turns out they're not here because your girl forgot to order them. 🫠

Was it on my to-do list? Yep.
Did I somehow still forget? Also yep.

....... that's life.

We're all juggling a million things. Work, kids, appointments, schools never ending emails and updates, groceries, businesses, laundry... it's no wonder we forget things sometimes.

The problem is, the first thing we usually forget is ourselves.

That's exactly why I'm rebuilding Earth Sugar into this version.

I don't want self-care to feel like another chore on your never-ending to-do list. I want it to fit into the moments you're already having. A shower. Putting on body oil. Moisturising before bed. Tiny rituals that remind you that you matter too.

Because you deserve to be on your own to-do list!

POV: you're rebranding your business and you've somehow convinced yourself that 60 days is heaps of time.

Narrator: It was, in fact, NOT heaps of time.

Every morning I wake up like, "Today's the day I'm going to smash out my to-do list."

By 2pm I've somehow spent three hours researching font sizes, learnt more about Australian cosmetic labelling laws than I ever wanted to know, changed my mind seventeen times, had a minor existential crisis, and rewarded myself with an energy drink for surviving the trauma.

Product formulas? ✔️
Labels? Mostly...
Website? She's... emotionally unavailable.
My sanity? Missing. If found, please return to sender.

The funniest part is that from the outside it'll probably look like, "Cuuuute, new bottles!"

Meanwhile I've aged approximately 47 business years in the last two months.

Also...

Did anyone notice the little sneaky cameo hiding in the background? 👀

Because if you did... congratulations. You just got the world's tiniest preview of the new packaging. Consider it an Easter egg for making it this far into my chaos.

Now excuse me while I go stare at my to-do list until it starts doing itself.

Okay, we're bringing back the "we listen and we don't judge" trend because I need a safe space. 😂

I'm cleaning out my office and I'm standing here holding four empty energy drink cans.

Except... plot twist...

There were actually six.

I'd already thrown two in the bin before I thought, "Hang on... people need to witness this crime scene." And before you start doing maths... yes, these are only from the last few days.

I know...I'm not proud.

But your girl is 65 days away from relaunching this business, and apparently she's surviving on caffeine, blind optimism and the occasional delusion.

Look... I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't have any other vices. I just have a mildly concerning relationship with sugar-free energy drinks. 😂

Anyway...

We listen.

Literally my face and actions ALL DAY because this shiz is WILD. 😂

I genuinely went down a legal loophole today that I never thought I’d need to know existed.

And this is the stuff you DON’T see businesses posting about.

Everyone sees the pretty bottles, the cute labels, the aesthetic photos, the finished products…

But nobody sees the hours spent researching regulations, checking ingredients, double checking wording, questioning whether a tiny detail needs to be included, and then finding out there’s another thing you didn’t even know you needed to know. 🤯🤯🤯

Like… did you know there are rules around how you list ingredients?
Rules around colours?
Rules around what information needs to be displayed?
Rules around things that most people would never even notice when they pick up a product?

And honestly, it’s kind of insane how many little details go into something as simple as a bottle, jar or container sitting on a shelf.

Today I learnt that I can’t just say “mica” and call it a day... which mind you, i see SO MANY BRANDS DOING 👀👀👀

Every little detail has a reason, every ingredient needs to be accounted for, and everything needs to be clear and transparent... it's A LOT

Cue me spending my entire day questioning my life choices while fighting with labels. 😂

But this is exactly why I’m doing it properly.

Because I don’t want shortcuts. I don’t want to just throw something together and hope for the best.

I want everything I create to be safe, transparent and compliant so when you pick up an Earth Sugar product, you can trust that everything has been thought through.

The funny thing is… these are the parts of running a business nobody talks about.

The unglamorous stuff.
The behind-the-scenes stuff.
The “why am I suddenly reading government documents at 3pm?” stuff.

Small business life is honestly 50% creating things you love and 50% learning things you never knew existed. 😂
