THE BIN

It’s time to say goodbye to kitchen waste and unhealthy gardens, the AEROBIN COMPOSTER has just hit the South African market. Composting has previously been a foreign concept, hard to maintain, stinky, pest infested, requiring lots of space, labour intensive and something that other people did. HOWEVER, with Aerobin, it’s time to say goodbye to compostings old ways.

The patented AERATION LUNG, means no more turning your compost pile. The INSULATED WALLS, means no more pest problems, it’s odour free and allows hot composting all year round. The COMPACT, SLEEK DESIGN allows for you to put the ‘compost pile’ anywhere.

THE BENEFITS LOOP

This cycle emphasizes the importance of viewing waste not as something to be discarded but as a valuable resource that can be put back into the environment. It's a closed-loop system where each stage contributes to the health of the next. By understanding and actively participating in this cycle, individuals are now able to make positive contributions to both their immediate surroundings and the broader ecosystem.

Composting:
Converts organic waste into a valuable resource. Diverting compostable waste from going to landfills where it produces methane and toxic leachates.

Enriching the Soil:
Adding compost to soil, improves the soils structure, adds diversity in the form of nutrients and supports microbial life in the soil

Growing Plants:
Healthy Soil means healthy plants, resulting in growing more beautiful flowers and abundant vegetables.

Nourishing Life:
A healthier ecosystem has an endless positive knock on effect. by @earthagainco

Always learning with the Aerobin 🌿

Observing is one of your most important tools when learning how to compost. This is how you understand when your compost is looking good, smelling sweat and earthy and ultimately is decomposing properly 🌿 taken in Cape Town, Western Cape by @earthagainco

When it rains leachate, it pours 🪱

One of the best features of the Aerobin is the catchment tank underneath it. When your waste starts to compost, it releases a nutrient rich liquid fertiliser. This is all caught in the tank and has a tap for easy harvesting. From here you can dilute it in a watering can with water and give it to your favourite plants 🌿🌞

Some interesting things happening inside Sammi’s bin 🌿

When things start getting hot, you will notice it all dropping, due to the microorganism and worms breaking everything down 🪱 it’s a really fascinating and wonderful process!
