ginataan gulay w the girl$ <3 🇵🇭🐚🌱

ginataan gulay is a filipinx vegetable stew cooked in coconut milk.

everyone / family does it there way. here are the plantcestors included in this recipe:

bawang (garlic), sibuyas (onion), luya (ginger), kalabasa (kabocha squash), okra, talong (eggplant), langka (jackfruit). ideally sitaw (long bean) would be added, but our local asian store did not have it in stock.

incase u didn’t know i am the official chef/kitchen witch 444 @thebastosbruha ‘s Sensual Simbahan retreat ✨ excited to be curating a menu centered around celebrating sensuality, grounding, love, passion, co-creation, community, ancestral reverence, and more.

Will u be joining us?

music and dance will always be in my joy and liberation practice 🦋🧚🏽‍♀️✨

i used to think i partied, danced, and went out way too much. even stopped for a good while because i thought it wasn’t “holy” (lol), and even shamed my own self.

but when it comes down to it, celebrating life is truly in my blood — and I don’t just do it for me.

i do it for all in my lineage that never had the privilege or opportunity to experience joy in this way.

to dance with skin showing, no bra, intuitively, primally, with a big ass smile on my face, coconut water in hand.

feeling my heart open, soul elevate.

surrounded by flowers in human form.

the dance floor is a religious & ancestral experience for me.

i always think of my nanang when im dancing. she was more modest but when music turned on, someone brought her to the dance floor, she would have the biggest smile and dance like no one was watching.

dance is medicine.

dance is also rebellion and resistance (more on this another time)

whether im out and about or in my room, i do not take it lightly.

🪩

ALSO, s/o to this security who was cheering me on! I think sometimes we focus too much on who prays on our downfall and who judges us. but to me this is a reminder of you never know who’s also cheering you n who wants u to thrive. whether it’s friends, loved ones, strangers, etc <3
