PART 2

The illusion has broken for me in ways beyond repair.

Any bit of media I consume comes with a heavy weight.
Nothing is as plain as it seems, what presents itself as light-hearted, funny, mindless- may actually be working to disconnect us from our emotional being.

I believe that in order to create change one must first feel the discomfort of the current state to its fullest.
When we disconnect from our emotions, we throw away our chance to understand a problem fully which can lead us to feel powerless.
An issue is not always purely physical. Stress, fear, and trauma can create emotional layers.
We must allow ourselves to feel. When we engage in a problem wholly, we begin to reclaim our power.

When someone is truly moved, they are naturally compelled to action. Exploring solutions through creation becomes an active practice, without force.

We cannot lose hope. Our fire. Our force for change.

What is, cannot be undone alone; only through collaboration and intentional effort can we make a better future.

Led my second ever solo bikepacking trip across Prince Edward Island Canada. 113 mi over 3 days.

I needed a shuttle ride to the top of the trail, ended up bumming a ride off a ufo investigator. He talked about pyramids below the island, orbs that can heal dogs, gray aliens that watch old ladies undress, and tall figures that only show up in photographs. Perfect topic of discussion before I spend 3 days by myself in the wilderness.

3 mi in I get a flat and change a bike tire tube for the first time by myself.

Ignored a sign that said road closed and ended up in a creek for 3 miles.

By the time I was back on track I was out of daylight. Called it and camped in a random farm field. Stuffed bunny was a road find and ended up making a great pillow.

The night sky was insane.

Like better than I’ve ever seen it (and I’m a star snob)

Slept through the morning rain, patched a tire tube for the first time, and got back on the road.

2 weeks sailing on the Atlantic Ocean in a beneteau 45
virgins islands -> bermuda-> newport
1536 nautical miles
sunsets, dolphins, pilot whales, good food, & even better company by @earthlantern

i asked the ocean how do we know if we are enough and she said “what is a whole life spent seeking to prove yourself, other than wasted? is a flower not profoundly beautiful just by being? your desire for perfection has caused you to devalue that which is sincere.” or something like that. it was hard to make out the gurgles if im being honest. by @earthlantern
