I walked in May, with unfinished business to attend to. I have now finished ALL internship credits required for both my majors: Environmental Sustainability & Music Industry 🌱🎶These internships brought me to:
📍Lake Atitlan, Guatemala for water & environmental field work
📍Times Square, Manhattan for community manager development in a corporate space
... Concluding my Oneonta journey in the city I’m born & raised; Opportunities I may not have had if things went the “normal” way. But if you know me, there’s nothing norm about the path I tread on, my biggest strength & weakness, undefined, unwavering & unwritten. There’s a lot I don’t know, and times I thought I had the world all figured out at 21, but at 23 I know nothing. But there’s one thing I know now for sure, I CAN FINALLY fill my diploma case WITH THAT PAPER ♥️

Oney, you beautiful place, you’ll always be my home at heart 🫀 Thank you to everyone who made it that way. I am overwhelmed with gratitude with everyone who reached out since May and expressed my commencement speech made them or their families cry, through dm, email or spoken word. It was the biggest honor of my academic career, because this journey is not about myself, but the communities that make Oneonta what it is. I feel like I’ve already been living a post grad life, navigating new places, new people & new challenges. And now I get to make it official and launch for stars that have been calling my name my whole life, science & music, but more than that, being kind, having humility, and living through the virtue of Φιλότιμο / Philotimo, the love of honor. ♥️🫂🇬🇷 Ευχαριστώ πολύ by @earthlymandy
