Yes, @earwax.techno is back on Kazerne. After his last EP it was only a matter of time before he would return to the label. 🔁 Earwax:Cycles 🔁

Got this lovely bestie a few weeks ago and it seems we have been having (a distorted and raw) fun!

Check some 👂 Techno actions while recording new homemade rhythms and textures recipes!

Not having separate outputs definitely makes it a bit harder to reach balanced dynamic levels on this machine but it is interesting how the master output glues all the internal channels summed at the end… and that’s exactly what makes it cool to me!

Got my hands on my new 12” ,Change Setting EP’ released on @basmooy_mordrecords. It is always an amazing feeling to hold a personal piece of music!

Thank you for the kind words spent on it, for who’s supporting the record and to Bas Mooy for the trust once again.

This record feels like a second chapter after my first release back in 2024 on the label with ,Raw Cuts EP’; as the previous 12”, I consider these tracks the representation of the rawest and darker side of my musical palette.

Earwax did not fall in love with DJing. He fell in love with what a party does to a room. At thirteen he walked down a set of basement stairs and watched two groups of people who had never spoken to each other become one. That image has never left him. Years later, after releasing everything from deep house to harsh techno under his real name, he found a project name in his own surname, a Pugliese dialect word that translates to earwax in English, decided in a library instead of studying for a statistics exam. The name stuck because it was punk and personal in equal measure. In this conversation he talks about the move to Berlin, the foundations he will not compromise on, and why he still builds every set like the opening of a conversation he does not want to shout his way through.

Wow, last Sunday morning will forever have a special place in my heart.
