not sure i wanna admit how many times i’ve blasted this one while driving down ventura blvd but i love it so much. we’ve been working on it for a while and we finally got it there with a dusty old piano at my house in LA, some springy reverb, geet chugging, analog synth strings, live drums from kansas and of course insane vocals by the incredible man himself @tommy.newport 👑 plus some excellent help from @johnrobert . s/o to the team @mikecaren @brett.wilk 🙏🏻

MARIS - BODY IS ON FIRE OUT NOWWW!!
okay so this song has lived in our pockets since july 2025 and i’m so stoked it’s finally out!!! me and @maris.wav made this one in our first session together and it was such a crazy experience cause i almost always go into artist sessions thinking we need at least a couple of times working together before the magic is there but this session proved that theory wrong. from the first sound and chord i played to the first melody she sang it was like it almost wrote itself. might also have something to do with the fact that MARIS is an incredible songwriter and artist but you know.

oh and btw #14 on new music friday.

also, thank you @mattwolachmix for a crazy mix and master! by @earwulf
