The long awaited SIGMA 85mm F1.2 has finally arrived.

Thanks to @sigmafotopolska I had a pleasure to test it on the streets of Warsaw.

Fast. Highly accurate. With beautiful bokeh rendering. Not that big and heavy as you would expect.

14mm F2.8 from @brightin.star!

A $270 manual focus ultra-wide lens, tested on a moody autumn evening in Łazienki parki.

116° field of view and focus down to 20cm, so you can get right into the flowers, reeds and leaves, and still keep the whole scene in frame.

Great sharpness in the center, and very good on the sides.

How far can you actually crop?

This is Sigma 85mm F1.2 DG DN Art + Sony A7RV combo.

Top half is obviously a tight crop from the same file. Bottom half is the full frame. This is right before it started to loose details and quality. Pretty decent.

Which effect filter for which scene?

A quick cheat sheet from shooting Warsaw at night with @walkingway_official:

1. PKiN (the building): Split Super Speed, perfect for tall buildings and everything straight.

2. Woman walking: Semi Split, best for side reflections.

3. Bike: Center Focus Split, nice for turning city lights into graphic bokeh.

4. Traffic light: Linear Effect, perfect for all kind of single objects.

5. Isometric tram: Retro Soft Diffusion, great for softer look of pretty much anything.

All effects are done in camera. Save this for your next night walk.

iPhone 18 Pro Max variable aperture test.

F1.48 vs F1.8 vs F2.8 vs F4

I used a broken window glass as a foreground to show hom much the close objects actually change between apertures.

I’m really impressed how well they managed to create that kind of lens.

Part 2 of shooting Warsaw at night through @walkingway_official effect filters.

Last time it was about rescuing a boring night. This time is about reflections, towers, and empty alleys. Let the glass do the rest. It’s always about splitting the frame, stretching the lights, dropping some lines where there wasn’t one.

Unboxed the @telesin_official Master Grip Kit with the 3.5x telephoto lens for iPhone 18 Pro Max, right on the street where I’ll actually use it.

The grip snaps on magnetically, adds a physical shutter, and a 3200mAh battery that charges the phone while you shoot.

The 3.5x lens is the part I’m most curious about for street shots from a distance.

Overall good grip quality. Test shots with the 3.5x lens coming next.

Boring street? Change what’s in front of your lens.

Every frame here started as a pretty ordinary Warsaw scene. A tram, a parked car, people heading home. A filter in front of the lens turned them into shots I actually wanted to keep.

Can you edit iPhone’s photos?

Of course. All of these shot in RAW.

You can easily edit them on your phone or just move to your laptop and edit there. Easy.
