East Side Pot Shop is excited to participate in this year’s @untitledartfairs Artist Market in Houston, TX, curated by @f_magazine, with a solo presentation of new works by ESPS owner and artist @rebeca.proctor •

Born and raised in Houston and now residing in Elgin, TX, Rebeca is thrilled to return to her hometown with a new collection of work and to represent East Side Pot Shop, the ceramics studio she and @scotprocpots started in 2018.

Through months of testing glazes, years of firing kilns, teaching and learning alongside her students, East Side Pot Shop has grown into a vibrant community and creative ecosystem from which Rebeca’s art practice and livelihood have flourished over the past eight years.

Join us in celebrating this new collection of baskets, wall pieces, and small objects - all proudly fired in the ESPS soda kiln.

📍 Find Rebeca at Booth M7, October 2–4 in Houston!

We can’t wait to see you there. 💙 by @eastsidepotshop

Some forms & surfaces that caught our eye in the glaze room yesterday! Wonderful work, everyone! Comment if they are yours and we’ll tag you! 💗 by @eastsidepotshop

Word on the street is there’s a new clay body in town! We’ve been working to formulate a new clay to replace our beloved Fig Newman (RIP) 🫶

These two tests by @vimlin.ceramics show the clay soda fired, with no glaze or surface treatments on the little pinch pot, and the first cup is decorated with glaze, with lots of bare clay showing through. Let us know what you think! We are excited about it!

Thanks Grace @et.al.pottery for firing the soda kiln last week! It was a great firing! by @eastsidepotshop

We’ve got a few spots available in our Tuesday afternoon and Friday evening classes taught by @ryanmckerley ! Registration is open now on our website ❤️‍🔥

Many of our community members are showing their beautiful work in this exhibition of wood fired pottery made at @eyeofthedogartcenter ❤️‍🔥 The Dogagama is a wonderful kiln worth celebrating, as is the community that surrounds it. We are looking forward to seeing the array of surfaces, forms, pots, and sculptures that were fired in the Dogagama. STOKED opens July 11th at the Eye of the Dog Art Center in San Marcos, TX.
