📍 Episode 2: Mosaic Mediterranean Grill & Cafe in Lake Forest

WOW. I think we just found our new favorite Mediterranean restaurant! 🤯 Every single dish was packed with SO much flavor, and we were honestly blown away by everything we tried!

We got to try a huge variety of their menu, from cold and hot appetizers to kebabs and desserts, and everything was incredible!

⭐ My absolute favorite was the kibbeh! A crispy, seasoned bulgur shell stuffed with spiced ground beef. Add their tahini sauce, and OMG. LITERALLY PERFECTION.

🍢 Their combination kebab plate was another favorite! The chicken was so juicy, and their Lebanese-style garlic sauce was AMAZING, especially if you love garlic as much as I do!

🍰 Don’t skip dessert! We tried their baklava, Halawa cheese, and Harriseh, and all three were delicious!

We also loved getting to meet the owner, Saleh, who’s originally from Damascus, Syria. He shared his story with us and explained how they import their spices from Syria and that the head chef is from Lebanon.

They’ve only been open for about six months, and I seriously cannot recommend this place enough. Dom and I were already planning who to bring back before we even left! 😂

10/10 food, hospitality, and experience. ❤️

I LOVE Mediterranean food, so we’re making it our goal to try different Mediterranean restaurants throughout South Orange County! 🥙🫓

📍 Episode 1: Pita Pita in Laguna Hills

Here’s what we tried and what we thought!

🌿 Spicy Cilantro Hummus: SO good! It had just the right amount of spice without being too spicy for me. Especially delicious with their pita bread!

🥔 Lemon Garlic Potatoes are a must! And you have to dip it into their garlic sauce.

🧄 Chicken Shawarma Plate: my favorite, the chicken had great flavor and char, really enjoyed pairing it with all the sauces.

🧆 Falafel: Absolutely loved the falafel! Definitely one of our favorites from the visit.

🥗 Tabbouleh: Super fresh and very parsley-forward. It was a great side to balance out all the meats and potatoes.

🥙 Gyro: Good flavor, but definitely more lamb-forward, so something to keep in mind depending on your preference!

Overall, we really enjoyed our first stop! Excited to keep exploring more Mediterranean spots around South OC.

Where should we go for Episode 2? 👀

Should I bring this look back for Halloween? 😂 @steveaoki

We threw my best friend a bridal shower and DIY’d as much as we could! 💐🍒🤍

Of course, I went a little overboard with the food because I never want anyone leaving hungry. 😂

Here’s what we served and where we got everything!

🥐 Catered food: Cheese rolls and potato balls from @portosbakery, Vietnamese spring rolls, and sandwiches and cookies from @urbanecafe.

🥗 Homemade: Caprese salami skewers, apple Parmesan balsamic salad, crudités board, fruit platter, and the BEST homemade egg rolls made by our bride-to-be and her mom!

🎂 Cake: We bought a Chantilly cake from @wholefoods, removed the original berries, and decorated it with fresh raspberries and little bows to match our theme!

🍒 Welcome drinks: Cherry Lemonade Spritz! We prepped the drinks with cherry juice, lemonade, and frozen cherries so guests could top theirs off with prosecco or sparkling water.

🎀 Decor: Our favorite DIY was definitely the backdrop! We used a 10x7 ft backdrop stand and eight 40x12 ft curtain drapes from @amazon to bring our vision to life.

🎲 Games: We played three games!

1. Where Were They? Guess the locations from photos of the couple.
2. Build a Bouquet! Everyone made flowers using tissue paper and pipe cleaners, and the bride picked her favorite.
3. The Shoe Game! We saved this one for when the groom made his “surprise” appearance!

And the sweetest part? The groom showed up with flowers for the bride and both moms, which was 100% his idea. 😉💐

So much love, so much food, and so much fun celebrating our favorite bride-to-be! 🥹🤍 Can’t wait to celebrate these two at their wedding next month!

It’s been a week and I still can’t get over Head Trip. It was such a perfect weekend with the perfect people.

I don’t think I’ll ever get over this weekend. I’m so happy to have experienced it, and so sad it’s over and that we will never get to do it again.

First trip to Mexico City so of course we had to start off our morning at Panadaría Rosetta 🥐

There are so many viral spots everyone says to go to when visiting CDMX, and this is one you shouldn’t miss. We loved everything we ordered.

@sumire_restaurant is now open in Laguna Niguel! 🍜✨ I’ve been waiting for this spot to open and it did not disappoint.

It makes me so happy seeing more Asian restaurants opening in South OC! SUMIRE is from the original owner/chef of Fukuda in Irvine and serves Japanese favorites like curry, katsu, tempura, donburi, hot and cold udon, soba, appetizers, and more.

Definitely add this one to your South OC food list! 📍 Laguna Niguel by @eatingwithwi

When in San Diego, you gotta go to @glassboxsd at @skydeckdelmar. 🍣

This is one of my favorite spots to eat in San Diego and thank goodness I don’t live closer or I’d probably be here every day, especially because they have such a great lunch and happy hour menu too 😂 Although… they are opening a new location in San Pedro soon 👀

Date night, celebrating a birthday, or just craving really good sushi, Glass Box is always the place to go. It’s not just dinner, it’s always such an experience.

And don’t ask me what’s good on the menu because literally everything is good. I usually just let @chefethanyang and @executive_chefkevin_wang do their thing and make custom sushi for me, and it’s incredible every single time. 🤌🍣

Had the best time at RH Ocean Grill 🤍 The weather was perfect for outdoor dining, the food was incredible, and we had the best server who made our workday lunch so much fun.

Everything we got was so good, here’s what we ordered:

✨ Di Stefano Burrata
Heirloom & cherry tomatoes, balsamic, basil

🥩 Shaved Ribeye Dip
Emmentaler Swiss, au jus, charred buttered baguette

🍠 The Sweet Potato
Honey brown butter, chives, crème fraîche

🐟 Whole Grilled Branzino
Olive oil, chives, grilled lemon

And if you’re celebrating a birthday, they bring out the cutest little dessert too! 🎂
