This year I got the chance to try out three food stands that are conveniently right next to each other 🤪 @eatsugarpops @mr.pickleco @curlyscurds

I keep a 4L jar of pickles in my fridge at all times so @mr.pickleco and @curlyscurds were literally my happy place. I would use their pickle seasoning on EVERYTHING 😂

I also have a sweet tooth so I couldn’t resist @eatsugarpops desserts 😍

Sugar Pops Sweet Treats (CNE Grounds)
After taking a spin on the midway rides, stopping by Sugar Pops Sweet Treats for their deep-fried Oreos made for the ultimate carnival capstone.

The contrast in textures is spot on—a crisp, golden batter shell surrounding a warm, pillowy interior where the Oreo softens into a rich, fudge-like core. Dusting them with a light layer of powdered sugar gives just enough extra sweetness without overwhelming the rich chocolate flavor. Piping hot and freshly made to order, they hit the mark as a quintessential Canadian National Exhibition treat.

🎡🍴CNE FOOD CRAWL COMPLETE (or are we just getting started?! 🤭), and this year’s lineup definitely delivered! 👏 @letsgototheex

Here’s what we tasted at The Ex:

🥒 @mr.pickleco – The viral-worthy Pickle Cheesecake. Sweet, tangy, creamy, and definitely one of the most unique bites at the fair!

🧀 @curlyscurds – Maple Bacon Cheese Curds that hit the perfect balance of sweet, smoky, salty, and cheesy.

✨ @glutenfreefactoryco – Making CNE history as the first entirely gluten-free food stand! We had to try their Deep Fried Oreos and Corndog, proving you don’t have to miss out on classic fair food.

🥔 Mr. Potato (Food Building) – The Korean BBQ Pulled Chicken Gourmet Potato was loaded with flavour and made for the perfect savoury stop between all the desserts.

🍰 @eatsugarpops – We couldn’t choose just one, so we tried both the Dipped Dunkaroo Cheesecake and the Biscoff Cookie Butter Dipped Cheesecake. Rich, indulgent and worth every bite.

From gluten-free fair favourites to over-the-top desserts and creative new eats, the CNE is once again bringing some seriously fun food this year. 🤩

🥫 Liko’s — Yummy and creative eats made with Spam. 👀

🍪 Le Dimanch Cookies — Handmade chocolate used to create delicious cookies. 🍫 You can even buy them online!

There really is only one reason we go and that’s for the food. We love all the classic eats, the new eats & the crazy eats. This is everything we ate outside of the food building:

Our CNE 2026 food crawl 🤤🎡 We tried a mix of sweet and savoury eats around the grounds, and every spot was good in its own way! Here’s everything we tried and where to find them 🍔🍪🍰

🍴 Jerk Dogs

I was invited to check out some vendors at the EX, so let's dig in!
@mr.pickleco has one of the main attractions this year with the Pickle Cheesecake & I have to say I was a fan!

FAVE ITEM AWARD goes to @curlyscurds with the Maple Bacon Cheese Curds. This mix of flavours and textures was a winning combo for me and I'm still thinking about it. (They have a pickle flavoured curds too, but will have to try next time).They also serve the huge mozza stick seen here.

@eatsugarpops is right next to Curlys and has a spectacular biscoff funnel cake. With everything fried to order the exhibition is definitely the place to get these eats! This stand also has a variety of cheesecakes on a stick. I went with Dunkaroo and you should too.🤪

Gluten free eaters rejoice because @glutenfreefactoryco is serving up gluten free fair faves like deep fried oreos & corn dogs which were seriously strong contenders for best quality eats. They also have chicken tenders and fries at this stand.

I finally ventured into the Food Building where Mr. POTATO serves the heftiest hot potatoes loaded with toppings (I went with Nashville Chicken). It was >>>>!.
