One year ago, we decided to start again. 🌱

After saying goodbye to our previous business, we slowed down, welcomed Leo and Lily into the world, and asked ourselves what truly mattered.

The answer? To keep helping people feel their best — but to build differently this time. Slower, more intentional, and 100% family-owned.

In our first year of SuperPlants, we launched 5 new products — including the one we’re most proud of, our Multivitamin. But what makes us feel most alive is YOU: your trust, your stories, your reviews, your DMs. 💛

This is just the beginning — thank you for growing with us.

SuperPlants, Year One.

Today is 16 years together for Michael and me. We met in college, and honestly, writing that number down doesn’t feel real. In that time we’ve been through more than two students blending green juice in a tiny kitchen could have imagined: Michael’s cancer diagnosis at 24, me healing 25 years of eczema with him cheering me on through every hard day, a wedding in Cyprus, two babies, building a company, selling it, grieving that chapter ending, and then doing the thing everyone said we were crazy to do, starting all over again, together, with SuperPlants. The question we get asked more than almost any other is “how can you possibly work with your partner?!”, half joking, half genuinely concerned. Honestly, we wouldn’t want it any other way. We’re not doing work-life balance, we’re just doing life, together, all the way. Sixteen years of living and working together taught us a few things: if it feels like work, something’s off. With the kids we call it playtime, and most days building this feels the same. Communication is everything, saying the true thing kindly before it becomes a big thing, still practicing sixteen years in. And your health is the foundation of all of it. You can’t build a business or love someone well running on empty. If you’re building something with your partner too, a business, a family, a healthier life, tell me about it below. These stories are my favorite thing to read. Eat plants. Feel alive.

Between the nausea, the exhaustion, the toddler chaos, birth, post partum my intentional movement quietly fell away for a good 3+ months. I was still moving, walks, running after two small humans, but the actual workouts disappeared. So last week I started again, and here’s the thing nobody tells you: the first five workouts are just hard. Not because the workout itself is hard, because starting is hard. Once you’ve done five or six and the rhythm returns, momentum takes over. My routine right now is nothing impressive. Ten minutes of Pilates that sometimes turn to twenty minutes, daily walks that are non-negotiable, and yin yoga once or twice a week that does more for my nervous system than anything else on this list. You don’t have to start on Monday. You don’t have to wait until you feel ready. Just start today, with whatever you have.

The question we get more than any other, especially from people who are new here, is the simplest one: Where do I start?

So here it is. The honest guide, from the two people who formulated, tasted, sourced and packed everything on this list. No overwhelm. No pressure. No “buy everything” energy.

If you’re completely new: Daily Greens + MultiVitamin. Two habits that take 30 seconds combined and make a noticeable difference within a few weeks.

This is where I’d start with my own sister.

If you want a proper reset: The Detox Bundle. It’s everything plus a printed 5-day guide so you’re never wondering what to do next.

Skin: Beauty Berries + Collagen Support, together, for 60 days.

Hormones: Hormone Health, consistently, for 6-8 weeks (I know that feels long, but plants work with your body, not against it, and that takes a cycle or two).

Energy: Daily Greens in the morning, Vanilla Protein at breakfast, Healing Turmeric at night.

And if you’re still not sure, send us a dm or reply to any of our emails. We’re real people. We read them. We answer personally. That’s kind of the whole point of doing it this way. 💚

One day I was holding a conventional multivitamin and a question formed that I realized I had never actually asked in all my years in the health world:

Where do the vitamins in these pills actually come from?

So I started researching. And then I read a book that laid it all out and I was like, wait. WHAT.

Your vitamin C? Probably ascorbic acid, manufactured industrially from glucose. Your vitamin D? Most conventional d3 comes from lanolin, the waxy secretion from sheep’s wool (yes, really). Your folic acid? Up to 60% of people carry a genetic variant that makes it hard to even convert it into something the body can use. Your iron? Ferrous sulfate, famous for constipation and nausea.

Whole food vitamins and synthetic vitamins carry the same names on the label. But they are not the same thing. One arrives surrounded by the cofactors, enzymes and phytonutrients that determine how it’s absorbed. The other arrives alone, made in a lab, often from starting materials that have nothing to do with food.

Your body knows the difference.

Swipe for the 4 biggest shocks + exactly which words to look for on a label.

And then go flip your multivitamin around. I’ll wait.

Every evening, without exception: 2 tsp Healing Turmeric in warm oat milk. I started this ritual during my eczema healing journey and a decade later it’s still how every one of my days ends.

Here’s what’s actually in the cup and why each one earned its place:
Turmeric. It’s the most studied anti-inflammatory plant on earth. But curcumin is poorly absorbed on its own, which is why...

Black pepper. A tiny amount increases curcumin absorption dramatically. ancient traditions figured this pairing out thousands of years before labs confirmed why.

Ginger. Digestion, inflammation, and honestly just warmth.

Ashwagandha. Works on the hpa axis, which is a science-y way of saying it tells your nervous system the day is over now.

Ceylon cinnamon + lucuma. Because a ritual only survives 10 years if it’s genuinely delicious. Consistency only happens when something is enjoyable.

No sweeteners doing the heavy lifting. No gums faking the creaminess. Just six plants and warm milk and five quiet minutes before bed. 🌙

Comment TURMERIC and I will send you the exact recipe :)

When Michael was going through chemotherapy, I made him a green blend every single morning. I wasn’t a supplement founder back then. I was just a person who loved someone who was sick, standing in a kitchen, doing the one thing I knew how to do.

Spirulina. Chlorella. Wheatgrass. Barley grass. Moringa. Baobab. The most nutrient-dense greens I could find, every single day. His recovery surprised his medical team.

That blend became our Daily Greens. And the ritual became the single most impactful daily habit I know: 2 tsp in water with a squeeze of lemon, down it first thing in the morning. Before coffee. Before the kids are up. Before the day gets loud.

Ten seconds. Six plants. No fillers, no sweeteners, no gums, nothing else.

People always ask what the one thing is they should start with. This is it. Not because it’s magic, but because it’s so easy you’ll actually do it every day. And consistency is where everything changes. 🌿

People imagine supplement formulation happens in a lab with people in white coats. Ours happens in my kitchen with measuring spoons, little bowls, and two very opinionated toddlers.

Every SuperPlants product gets tasted before anything else. I taste it. Michael tastes it. Our friends taste it. Our families taste it. And then Leo and Lily taste it and honestly, their reactions are sometimes the most reliable feedback we get.

Children have no filter. They don’t care that mama spent three months researching the ratio of ginger to cinnamon. If they spit it out, it goes back to the drawing board. No discussion. No appeal process. 😅

And there’s a real reason we take taste this seriously. Consistency only happens when something is enjoyable. The healthiest blend in the world does nothing if it sits in your cupboard because it tastes like a punishment.

So yes, everything we make is toddler-tested. It’s not in the certifications, but it might be the strictest standard we have. 💚

I need to talk about the person who won’t eat a banana because of the sugar, but will happily drink an oat milk latte with vanilla syrup and snack on a protein bar sweetened with six different sugar aliases they never noticed on the label. Natural sugar in whole food comes packaged with fiber, water, vitamins, and antioxidants that slow how it hits your bloodstream. Added, refined sugar like high fructose corn syrup, maltodextrin, evaporated cane juice, (which is just sugar in a fancy hat) arrives stripped of everything and gives your body nothing useful back. Those are not the same thing, no matter what the label says.

So should you quit sugar? Quit the hidden, refined kind.

Should you quit fruit, whole grains, sweet potatoes? Please don’t.

Every single one of our products is sweetened with real whole food or nothing at all.

I watched a video telling me I need 150 grams of protein a day and felt that spike of anxiety before I caught myself. iIve done the tracking, the apps, the spreadsheet pride, and I want to say clearly: protein is not a math problem.

My rule now is just a little at every meal. A smoothie scoop at breakfast, beans or hummus at lunch, nuts as a snack, tofu at dinner. No tracking, no stress, and research backs it up too: spreading protein across the day works better than loading it all into one meal.

What’s your protein habit looking like these days?

Michael was 24 when he heard the words nobody ever expects to hear. I still remember exactly where we were standing.

During his chemo recovery I made him a green blend every single morning.. the most nutrient-dense thing I could possibly put in a glass. Spirulina, chlorella, wheatgrass, barley grass. I didn’t know if it would help. I just knew I had to do something. His recovery ended up surprising his medical team.
And while all of that was happening, I was quietly healing my own body too. Eczema I’d had since birth. The kind where you stop recognizing your own face in photos. It took me 2 years of whole plant foods and medicinal plants, and at 25 it was gone. Completely.

Those two journeys are why SuperPlants exists. Not because a market report found a gap. Because we lived it. And this time we built it 100% family owned. No investors and no one telling us to cut corners on ingredients to improve margins. Just us, and you.

If you’re at the beginning of your own healing journey right now.. I see you. It’s slow. And it’s worth it. 💚
