One of the hardest parts of having a sensitive body is that it notices everything. One of the greatest gifts is that it notices everything 🥹 by @eatswithale

TMJ friends or anyone looking for a more root cause focused dental experience, @smilehousetribeca is everything & more!!!🦷🧚🏼‍♀️ love their approach to looking beyond just teeth & gums, from how your bite & jaw muscles affect tension to the connection between your oral microbiome & whole body health. Everything is connected!!!

Your body is built to heal!!! That’s its natural state, but so much of society (& our medical model) works against that. Sure, genetics can load the gun, but environment usually pulls the trigger!!! Look at your everyday life & make an audit. What's actually helping you feel good vs. what’s wearing you down, including how you eat, move, sleep, & speak to yourself? You might be surprised how much can shift when you start changing what’s in your control💞 also love this audio from @drmarkhyman on @jayshetty by @eatswithale

If this felt a little too close to home, I GET IT 🫶 which is exactly why I wrote a whole Substack diving deeper into the science behind why you can do ALL the “right” things for your health & still feel like you’re getting nowhere (drop a comment & I’ll send it right to you)!!

Your wellness routine should support your life, not become another thing you need to recover from 💞 by @eatswithale

I've been slowly swapping out my cleaning products for things without the harsh chemicals, endocrine disruptors, & nasties (that still work as well or even better). These are some staples!!! Drop a comment & I'll send you all the links & discounts to my favs 🫶🧼🫧

For my pickle girls who also love a high protein, gut & hormone friendly meal 🥒🫒🍋 Packed with protein, healthy fats, antioxidants, & all the salty, crunchy goodness. Also, if it’s not easy, chances are I’m not making it. Luckily, this bowl just requires chopping & mixing.

For the pickle olive Mediterranean salsa (I always make extra because it’s THAT good straight from the spoon):
-Fresh chopped dill
-Cucumber
-Pickles (@goodgirlsnacks are the best of the best)
-Kalamata olives
-Feta cheese
-Dash of extra virgin olive oil

For the Greek yogurt chicken:
-Organic chicken thighs
-1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
-1 tsp garlic powder
-1 tsp paprika
-1/2 tsp chives
-Juice of 1/2 lemon

For the bowl:
-White rice
-Hummus
-Microgreens
-Extra fresh dill
-Extra feta

How to:
-Start cooking your rice according to package instructions.
-For the chicken, mix Greek yogurt, garlic powder, paprika, chives, & lemon juice. Coat your chicken thighs generously in the mixture. Bake at 400F for ~20–22 min until golden & cooked through.
-While the chicken cooks, chop your dill, cucumber, pickles, & Kalamata olives. Toss everything into a bowl, top with crumbled feta, & coat in extra virgin olive oil.
-To assemble: add rice, chicken, & a generous scoop of your Mediterranean salsa to a bowl. Add hummus, microgreens, more dill, & extra feta ontop. Done!!!

FEELING GOOD IS A REASON TO KEEP CARING FOR YOURSELF ❤️

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve taken feeling good as a sign to abandon the exact things that got me there in the first place! Digestion finally settles, I have energy again, & suddenly the basics feel a little less "necessary"- even though they might be a major part of why I feel better.

Of course, part of healing is building the resilience to enjoy more flexibility. Being able to do more & think about your health less is a beautiful thing!!! But I’ve had to learn the difference between having that freedom & forgetting to care for myself because no symptoms are actively demanding my attention.

If you've also hit rock bottom before, you know how much easier it is to make a change when you’re desperate to feel better. But struggling shouldn't be our only reminder to take care of ourselves. Practice slowing down when you're regulated, nourishing yourself when your digestion feels good, & protecting your sleep when you have energy- because you have no idea how much those things are playing a role in your ordinary 🫶 by @eatswithale

Navigating gut & hormone imbalances made "listening to my body" or knowing what to eat so confusing. Neurotransmitters, gut bacteria, & blood sugar all influence hunger & cravings. It’s rarely as simple as “being intuitive.”

Working with a registered dietitian who understood this was everything. Learning how food affects MY body, with MY symptoms, history, & needs in mind. Sometimes eating more intuitively STARTS with eating more intentionally.

@usenourish matches you with a dietitian for your specific needs, & 94% of patients pay $0 out of pocket with insurance!!! Such an amazing option.

It’s also why I love capsule kitchen preps: “basics” & “accessories” to mix & match all week. A little structure that leaves room for intuition.

Broth bowls are my fav trend!!!! so obviously I had to make a deconstructed miso soup version 🫶🍲 packed with protein, fermented miso, mushrooms, & bone broth for a cozy meal that supports both gut + immune health.

For the crispy tofu:
- Extra firm tofu, cubed (press out all the water)
- Avocado oil (to lightly coat)
- Generous garlic powder
- 3 tbsp coconut aminos
- 1 tbsp arrowroot powder (cornstarch works too)

For the miso broth:
- 1 cup bone broth
- 2 tbsp miso paste
- 1/4 cup room temp water
- Dash of coconut aminos

For the bowl:
- Jasmine rice
- Shelled edamame
- Mushrooms (I used baby bella)
- Coconut oil (to coat pan)
- Garlic powder
- Green onion
- Chili oil
- Seaweed (if you have it, I did not)

How to:
- Start cooking rice according to package instructions.
- Press as much water as possible out of your tofu, cube it, then toss with avo oil, garlic powder, coconut aminos, & arrowroot/cornstarch. Bake at 400F for ~25 min until crispyyyy. Air frying works too (I’d just do less time/start checking around 15–20 min)
- Chop mushrooms & saute in a little coconut oil + garlic powder for ~5 min. Cover for another ~2 min until tender.
- Steam edamame (I microwave for time)
- For the broth, whisk the miso paste with 1/4 cup water until smooth. Warm your bone broth & stir in the miso mixture + add a dash of coconut aminos.
- To assemble: add rice, crispy tofu, edamame, & mushrooms to a bowl. Pour miso broth all over everything, then top with green onion, chili oil, & seaweed. Done!!!

Basically if miso soup decided to become a full meal 🍚🍄💞
