Seed on Soul — Hurstville By far, our favourite drink spot & so worth the travel from the south west!! 😭😭🩷 What we ordered: 👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏻 our must try’s 🥥 Coconut phin coffee frappe $6.50 🍳 Vietnamese coffee and egg cream on top 👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏻 🥜 Pistachio matcha $9 👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏻 🍵 Double matcha with oat milk $9 Our review ⬇️ Just visited this new drink spot at Hurstville Station and we genuinely loveddddddd it! The owner was so friendly, and the drinks were both aesthetic and SO YUMMY. We tried the pistachio matcha, double matcha, Vietnamese coffee with egg cream, and coconut phin coffee frappe, and we have no complaints omg, we’re defs going back Their menu is still expanding, and they’re even working on a Ferrero matcha. Definitely worth a visit if you love matcha and specialty drinks. This place literally opens fresh coconuts for every drink 👀🥥 📍 Miss Coconut — World Square What we ordered: 🍓 Matcha strawberry coconut juice $9.8 🥥 100% fresh coconut juice $9.0 🍈 Regular lychee smoothie $8.5 🥛 Signature coconut milk $9.5 Our review ⬇️ This place uses real coconuts AND fruit instead of canned products, and you can genuinely taste the difference. Everything felt fresh, not overly sweet or artificial like a lot of coconut drinks tend to be. The coconut jellies were pretty good too, even topped with real coconut skin, small detail but it shows they’re not cutting corners 🤞🏼 Perfect if you’re after something refreshing and authentic! This place sells ramen AND two onigiris in one set?! 👀🍜 📍 Hakata Gensuke — Haymarket What we ordered: 🍜 Tonkotsu Gyokai $29 🥟 Gyoza 5pcs $9 🍱 Mini Ramen Onigiri Set $26 > mini ramen > unagi onigiri +$0.50 > cha-mayo onigiri > edamame > yuzu iced tea +$2 Our review ⬇️ We couldn’t believe the Mini Ramen Onigiri Set exists, mini ramen + two onigiri (unagi & cha mayo) and a side of your choice, all in one set 😭😭🤞🏼 The Tonkotsu Gyokai was p good too, broth was so rich and creamy, exactly what you want from a tonkotsu. Found a new dumpling spot in Burwood 🥟 📍1912 Dumpling Bar — Burwood What we ordered: 🖤 Black truffle and pork XLB $15/4pcs 🥟 Pan fried beef dumplings $15/5pcs 🥟 Steamed beef dumplings $15/5pcs 🍜 Jajabgnyeon (pork mince with dry noodles) $17 🍮 Sweet tofu pudding $7 🥛 Soy milk (hot) $5 Our review ⬇️ Started with the black truffle and pork xiao long bao and the truffle flavour was actually potent!!! Pan fried beef dumplings had that perfect crispy bottom with a juicy inside, and the steamed beef version was a lighter option but still full of flavour. Jajabgnyeon was the heartier pick of the day, defs good choice if you want something beyond just dumplings. Finished it off with the sweet tofu pudding, simple and not overly sweet!! If you’re in Burwood and haven’t tried this place yet, you need to. Did you know there’s a dumpling bar inside the new Sydney Fish Market?? 🥟 📍 Lees Dumpling Lab — Glebe What we ordered: 🦀 Crab and pork xiao long bao $16/4pcs 🌶️ Pork dumpling in spicy & sour soup $18/8pcs 🥟 Pan fried beef dumplings $16/4pcs 🐷 Steamed pork xiao long bao $16/5pcs 🍜 Dan dan noodle $18 Our review ⬇️ We had no idea this dumpling bar existed inside the new Sydney Fish Market until now, and it’s officially on our list. Started with the crab and pork xiao long bao, which was p juicy. The pork dumplings in spicy and sour soup had such a good kick and wasn’t too overpowering. Pan fried beef dumplings had that perfect crispy bottom, and obv we couldn’t skip the classic pork xiao long bao. Rounded it all out with the dan dan noodles for smth a little different. This hotpot spot genuinely had such nice presentation 🪣🩷 📍 Mr Great Hotpot — Burwood What we ordered: 🍲 2 flavour soup base: mushroom & tom yum $29.80 🥩 Lucky basket beef roll $26.80 🥩 Lucky basket lamb roll $26.80 🥩 Black label Angus beef $29.80 🦐 Mashed shrimp $18.80 🍜 Fresh noodle $6.80 🍚 $3.80 🥣 Sauce $3.80 Our review ⬇️ The interior is gorgeous and they’ve got a full sauce station so you can build your own combo before anything even comes out. Split soup base, both mushroom and tom yum were rich and full of flavour. New pho spot in Bankstown and we think it might be the best we’ve had here 🍜 📍 Pho Hoang – Bankstown What we ordered: 🍜 Pho dac biet 🌶️ Bun bo hue 🥩 Bun bo tai 🍗 Com ga dui chat 🥑 Sinh to bo Our review ⬇️ The pho dac biet was the standout, it literally tasted like Jason’s mum’s pho and they were SOOO GENEROUS w the meat. The com ga dui chat was simple but well executed. Finished it off with a sinh to bo which was the perfect way to end the meal. We will definitely come back! Half of Sydney’s sick rn so we went and got ginger lemon tea 🍋 (and found their new strawberry series while we were at it) 📍 Order Lemon – Cabramatta What we ordered: 🍋 Ginger hot lemon tea - real lemons smashed into it, actually helps when you’re feeling off 🥝 Kiwi lemon tea 🍓 NEW: Sweet strawberry pop 🍓 NEW: Premium jasmine strawberry cheese Our review ⬇️ GINGER LEMON TEA IS KEYS HERE SINCE WE ALL SICK RNNN. But we ended up also trying their brand new strawberry series and did not expect to like it as much as we did. Sweet strawberry pop was like a soda - and even came out in a soda can, except they used REAL strawberries. Premium jasmine strawberry cheese has cheese foam on top that’s doing a lot of work, don’t skip it. If you’re sick, get the ginger tea. Mochiric just dropped something NEWWW & it’s not a donut 👀🩵 📍Mochiric – Cabramatta What we ordered: 🍩 Mochi donuts: cinnamon, original glazed, biscoff, pandan, rafaello & cookies and crème 🥟 NEW: Banh it ram Our review ⬇️ Ngl we were always pretty hesitant to try mochi donuts so we were SHOCKED when we had these; biscoff and rafaello are ELITE. BUT the banh it ram is what surprised us. It was so crunchy and the filling was YUM af. We literally smashed it in 5 mins LOL If you’re a regular at Mochiric, this is your sign to try something new on the menu. If you haven’t been, even better excuse to go. Ranch Rider was the simpler option of the two but the sauce carried it. If you’re after a burger spot that goes all in, this is it.
