🌟 Fine Dining Series: Part One 🌟

After a short hiatus, I am back! 👋🏼 Welcome to my new fine dining series where I highlight some special spots 🍽️ I wanted to start with a restaurant we visited back in December where we had the absolute best time 🤩

The food @dineaiana was spectacular and came out truly looking like works of art 🖼️ I am still thinking of that lobster bisque and the beautiful honeycomb 🍯 That oyster topped with caviar was the stuff of dreams, pure umami 🦪 In times like these, I wish there was a chef’s kiss emoji (but I guess you can just picture it instead)!

The interior is also wonderfully designed, making it the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion!

Our favourite part of the night was when we got to meet Chef Raghav Chaudhary, who was so kind to sign and gift us his recipe book 📖

I grew up in the GTA where there was lots of access to Chinese food 🥢 I haven’t seen these skewers yet in Ottawa and was so happy to see them on the menu! 🍢

We also got the Mild Spicy Soup Base and it was SPICY 🌶️ If you are not used to Szechuan spice, make sure to get the Braised Soup Base instead!

When I used to live in Westboro, we would go to @wedeltouchofeurope ALL THE TIME! Their Polish Sausage on a Bun was our go-to order 🌭

Love board games and puzzles? What if you could play a strategy game in real life? Located in the @bywardmarket, @trappedottawa has many escape rooms that will keep you on your toes ⚠️ We got to experience a whole new world 👽

It is truly an immersive experience! They have cute date night themed rooms all the way to super creepy and horror-filled rooms. Take your pick🚪

We got stuck on the last clue and couldn’t escape 😳 Try them out if you think you can beat us!

It’s never too hot… for hot pot! 🔥 We LOVE @happylamb_canada and their all you can eat meals 🍲 We always get the Yin Yang Broth so that we can have different options! The clear and hot broths are a great pair (and also a great relief when the spicy side gets too hot) 🌶️

They have a deluxe menu and a classic menu, your choice! We tried the deluxe menu and our favourites were:

🥩 Angus Beef
🥩 AAA Beef Tendon
