One of my favourite little moments in the day is feeding Oz. He gets so excited for his dinner and finishes every mouthful. 🐕🐾 I’ve been with @differentdog for a few years now and I really love how fresh and simple their recipes are. July might be my favourite month in the garden. Lemon meringue sheet cake today. A beautiful light sponge, bright lemon and fluffy meringue. What a lovely summer bake this is.🍋🍰✨ Recipe in my bio or www.bakewithjenny.comIngredients170g butter, softenedZest of 2 lemons170g caster sugar3 eggs170g self-raising flour2 tbsp milkTopping100g butter, softened200g icing sugar½ tsp vanilla9 tsp lemon curd15g crumbled meringue nestsZest of ½ lemonMethodPreheat oven 180°C/160°C fan, line a 20cm square tin.Rub sugar with zest, beat with butter until fluffy. Add eggs, then fold in flour & milk. Bake 25–30 mins until golden. Cool completely.Beat butter, icing sugar, vanilla & 1 tbsp boiled water until smooth. Fresh flowers have a way of making a room feel extra special, don't they? 🍃 These white Roselilies look especially beautiful. I've placed them on the chest of drawers so they're the first thing I see every morning, and I honestly couldn't think of a lovelier view to wake up to. ☀️They have the softest fragrance, and because they're pollen-free, I can move them from room to room without worrying about any mess.
