if you love Northern Chinese / halal Chinese food (think lamb, skewers, hotpot and noodles) like me - definitely try Bestbey’s all-you-can-eat menu! ❤️

such a unique AYCE concept with giant skewers and stir-fry dishes included. there were honestly so many dishes we didn’t even get to order because this was already TOO much food 😭

also disclaimer the menu says skewers are limited to 2 per meat per round per person!! idk how many rounds you can do but they are huge (not your regular small skewer). if you care maybe ask the restaurant in advance how many rounds you can do 😊

need maude the butter queen to review this asap, but this is definitely the best butter I’ve tried in canada so far!! 😋 they will be at the leslieville farmers’ market this sunday, and they’re usually only in downtown toronto once a month, so go check them out!!

i’ve been wanting to try this cafe ever since I started seeing people post about their black sesame croissant egg tart 🥐

glad i got to try some of their fall specials before i leave for asiaaa! i didn’t get to try the new pumpkin pie chiffon cake this time, but i feel like it would be perf for hosting thanksgiving if I was here 🙂‍↕️ (you can order full versions of their cake on their website)

when my fav fish sando place Ferdi’s mentioned this place had the best muffins, i knew it was going to be good!! the tahini ended up being the perfect balance to the banana flavour - probably the best muffin I’ve ever had, it was so damn moist!! 🥹🍌

also their blueberry scone is what they’re actually known for and it was perfection too🫐

the lady working there was super nice and told me that their muffins, scones, and cookies are baked in-house so would recommend trying one of those items out

i’ve seen fishman/jumbo lobster featured in youtube videos for years (since simu liu on buzzfeed worth it era iykyk) - so i’m really glad i finally got to try it, especially with my grandparents! 🥹💗

Ferdi’s is a hidden gem in a back alley, where Theo and Laur serve some delicious fish sandwiches, sausages, fish and chips, and more for lunch!! 😋

they also do retail + supply local spots like @grams.pizza and @tinymarketco (patiently waiting for that sourdough sausage ragu to come back so I can try 😍)

I wish I could gatekeep because the line is already long, but I have to share this!! The fish sando was 1000000/10 SO worth the wait I finished it so quickly

spoiler alert: the 1+ hr wait for Brodflour’s sticky toffee pudding danish is 100% worth it 😭

it’s only available Sat & Sun, they make ~100 a day, and it’s limited to one per person - so get there early!!

the other pastries were good but this was easily my favourite. also def coming back for the pain suisse 👀 what else should I try?
