last of the eats from my visitors!!! 📍ranch616 new fav spot to watch football. really good food too!!!! got the salad with salmon and it was pretty good. would def go for sliders or tacos next time tho BURGERRRR the fries were bomb and this burger was massive. didn’t try it but the reviews were good🔥🔥 shrimp. ceviche. would not expect this bar to have good ceviche but the shrimp was so fresh and these chips were everything 📍yamas greek salad!!! always a must when i come here. the feta is so good and all of the veggies taste so fresh EEEEK THE OCTOPUS fava bean puree on the bottom was outstanding. definitely best octopus appetizer i’ve had from any restaurant. will be adding to the rotation chicken souvlaki with rice, obviously a staple. first time i had it with the rice instead of the lemon potatoes and both are great but i think rice is better. mixes so well with the salad and the vinaigrette is amazing pita platter duh 📍kerbey lane PUMPKIN PANCAKES YOU GUYS!!!! perfect consistency to me 📍summer house tried a new spot! the restaurant in the magdalena hotel on soco. really cute ambience but the food was just average. mom got the spinach caesar salad with grilled shrimp and said it was pretty good waldorf wrap with chicken salad, apples, pickled onion, walnuts?? good but a little too mayo-ey and way too much wrap for my liking. bomb fries though by @eatwithlogan

📍sugarwolf YALL don’t sleep on this place wow. i was really hoping it wasn’t gonna be overhyped and it is SO WORTH IT. we got here just before the huge line so that was a win. also basically got everything starting with the pain au chocolate, cinnamon monkey bread, and banana chocolate chip muffin pork sausage breakfast sammy on a sesame challah bun. we ate it open faced and i think it’s a way better ratio of sausage to egg. this bacon too…im not a big bacon person but it was outstanding. good drippiness of the egg also👏🏻👏🏻 definitely heavy but great to split! CHIA OVERNIGHT OATS. i know you don’t usually come to a pastry place and get oats. but i swear this is one of the best overnight oats ive had. the mint and lemon makes it feel super light, berries were so fresh, and the crushed nuts + coconut gave a really nice texture breakfast burritooooo. salsa verde inside which is a fun spin on it. the tortilla is homemade but sort of gives samosa vibes?? a little more potatoey but very very good. would recommend sharing demolished. banana muffin was our favorite. so dense but so moist and fluffy. amazing banana flavor. zero notes. want the recipe moms capp☕️ the cold brew is also really good. didn’t need to add anything to it since it wasn’t super acidic or bitter!!! perfect balance to the pastries by @eatwithlogan

📍intero fam came to visit so OBVIOUSLY went all out with the meals…and we started off the weekend with dinner at intero!!!! i’ve heard the best things about this place so was super excited to get a reservation BUT unfortunately it did disappoint. we started off strong with the apps and the pizza (would highly recommend these), but drinks took forever, pastas easily took 30 mins+ to come out after everything else (and came out cold), and just kinda weird vibes from the server. could’ve been an off night, but would not rank this place near the top. shame! started with the homemade focaccia and honey burrata. despite not loving the place this app was INSANE!!!! great bread. no complains. also a great appetizer…the beef brisket and cucumber polenta ish situation. the base is stuffed with the brisket so kinda reminded us of arancini but better. really nice crispy onions on top and the sauce was really good. meal started off strong w this one AMAZING roasted beets with charred pecans and this pistachio chimichurri on top. the mint also added a tremendous flavor. loved these the pizza was also fantastic. we should’ve gotten two pizzas instead of pastas too. loved the oven roasted flatbread style. roasted butternut squash, fresh basil, garlic, parm, chevre. really great flavor profile however the chevre was kinda a lot in huge dollops and would’ve preferred less ok this is where it goes downhill for us. the pasta was cold and just not really good. the mafaldine with bolognese is pictured here and is significantly better than the bucatini (next photo). ugh just wish this had better flavor overall. the sauce was kinda too thick as well but unsure if that was bc it was cold and seemed like it had been sitting out bucatini with roasted corn and garlic. not good you guys i’m sorry to say. the sauce was incredibly thick, like almost alfredo consistency and we were very much expecting a light sauce. the noodles were super dense and overall just didn’t really love these flavors😕 was expecting a lot from this dessert since it’s so heavily posted about but unfortunately the cake felt less brown butter cake and more toasted white bread texture. the marshmallow dollop by @eatwithlogan

back at our spottttt @elizabethstreetcafe just perfect chicken spring rolls this time and just DIVINE i think my ranking for these goes steak, chicken, shrimp, pork. but like all of them are a 10 to me. still have to try the tofu ones obviously pho both beef this time! loveee the sweetness of the broth it feels so healing by @eatwithlogan

📍dai due so i simply have no words for this place and this MEAL. such a fun environment with the best company😌😌butcher shop in the front and restaurant in the back. like how perfect!!!! first we got the shrimp skewer appetizer which had a lime crema and cheese. these were cooked perfectly and i’m so glad we got them shishito peppers 🌶️ these were fantastic and cooked perfectly!!! also had a nice tapenade on the bottom which paired nicely with the smokey flavor THE. BURGER. ngl we were most looking forward to this out of everything and it is one of the best burgers i’ve had ever. swipe for cross section 🤤🤤🤤🤤 they switch up the ingredients based on the season so everything is always farm to table and so fresh (also why i’m loving this place). but for this menu toppings were lettuce, jalapeños, peppers, and then some sort of burger sauce. the buns were grilled sesame which couldn’t have been a better choice. patties were cooked perfectly and finally beef tallow golden potatoes we were between these and the standard fries with ketchup but so glad we got these. grilled onions mixed throughout and then a french onion type of sauce at the bottom which just paired beautifully with the crisp potato skins. we also got a side of the house-made beet ketchup and i sort of like it better than normal ketchup overall very high praise for this spot. needing to be back by @eatwithlogan

biiiiig recap of forgotten eats from last school year…and there are some good ones in here!!! lot of recs 👊🏻👊🏻 📍elizabeth st cafe obviously needed to include one of my top spots in this city. food and ambiance are so comforting and it reminds me of fall weather chicken and lime laap! similar to a lettuce wrap situation with really good rice on the side to add also eliz. red curry noodles and chicken and lemongrass pho🤤🤤🤤🤤 📍corner restaurant salad w salmon. this seems to be a recurring theme with this place but i can’t NOT get salmon from here. it’s just too good. &&brisket tacos. durrrr 📍tancho to-go omakase box!!!! subbed some of the standard options with my own picks but we have tuna sashimi, tuna avo roll, and a whole bunch of nigiri (toro and yellowtail are favs). we also got a bunch of sauces and the ponzu is BOMB 📍il brutto pizza with figs which was a rlly nice touch. also got a pasta dish but not really our fav so didn’t include BUT really good tomato and burrata to start (not sure where my photo of that went). honestly pretty mid for the prices. but looks yummy so 📍san ginés MMMMM. fantastic happy hour spot with great sangria and cocktails. smashburger was sooo good with arugula and the patatas bravas were fire. also churros and chocolate, bc what else. 📍neighborhood sushi honestly don’t know how i forgot to post abt this spot but here we are. insane. so so fresh—every bite was fantastic. the nigiri was my fav!!!!!! more…so solid. the tuna was insanely fresh. edamame also fire. 📍de nada can’t do a food dump without my SPOT. chicken tacos are truly outrageous …and this speaks for itself. tajin rim on 🔝 📍fixe HALIBUT. AMAZING. WOW. pork chop 😍😍😍😍 crab dip. pretty sure it had smoked bacon or something. really insane with the saltines. 📍noble joe WOW. worth the hype. too good. need to go back. mixed berry special latte and i think a cinnamon latte??? forgetting but both insane and the perfect ratio by @eatwithlogan

📍sammie’s realizing i forgot to post a lot of eats from last year so here’s a throwback to sammie’s!!!! good classic italian…definitely worth the hype although a little heavy for me. but love the ambiance in here rigatoni bolognese!!!!! better than the vodka pasta IMO caesar salad and a spritz YUM i think we got eggplant parm??? forgetting now it’s been so long but this is definitely either chicken or eggplant 🤣🤤 whatever it was i remember it was really good and extremely generous portion tiramisu obviously…probably one of the best in aus by @eatwithlogan

📍corner restaurant one last parents weekend post for what might be the main attraction…don’t sleep on this place it’s such a hidden gem!!! connected to the JW downtown and it has the best ambiance—outdoor patio seating & tvs on the inside to watch CFB. perfect place for a roomie dinner with all the parents😇😇 pictured here is their signature marg which was voted best margarita in austin 2026. pineapple flav & a little sweet but also smokey and spicy…so good!!! chippies and queso duh. and we added brisket because what else we also got burnt ends not pictured but really good with housemade pickled onions🔥🔥 skillet cornbread🤤🤤🤤 riley’s ribeye!!!!! with fingerlings and pico clara’s burger which looked fantab THE SALMON. rach dad and i ordered and we said it might be one of the best salmon dishes we’ve had. like ever. chipotle honey salmon with pepitas, corn sweet potato and edamame, lime crema 🤌🤌🤌 still thinking about this dish actually postgame with corner house salad and grilled chicken PERFECT weekend of eats if you’d ask me by @eatwithlogan

📍swedish hill parents weekend staple. always hit this post flight into austin and it’s the perfect way to kick off the weekend! tried the harvest salad with kale, cauliflower, couscous, sweet potato, citrus, crushed nuts, rotisserie chicken, tahini maple dressing. beyond amazing, might have to get this every time peanut noodles, swedish iced coffee, iced dirty chai pesto chicken salad crunch sammy 100/10 chocolate chunk cookie obviously peach lavender hand pie!!!!! so good and fresh!!! 📍the well THESE PROTEIN PANCAKES!!!! so fluffy and light and REALLY good syrup and berries to dip. would easily go back for these!!! also their drip coffee is oddly really good but highly recommend that classic breakfast plate. really appreciate the crispy bacon and side salad that had a bomb champagne vinaigrette. by @eatwithlogan

📍joann’s fine foods JOANNS!!!! first time going and it was the perfect saturday football pregame spot with @rachsfoods_ and the parents!!!!! will definitely be going again👌👌 also major bonus points for having cool matchboxes blackened redfish tacos were amazing, got the charro beans on the side which had herbs cheese and bacon. bomb to say the least🔥🔥 SPICY MARG!!!! cucumber and jalapeño with tajin rim obvi like really really good and amazing. exceeded all expectations. TURKEY CLUB W COTIJA FRIES insanity. lalo watermelon cocktail. SO good and refreshing! by @eatwithlogan

📍tiny boxwoods WE’RE BACK!!! dad came to visit so had to fit all of the good eats into one weekend but i feel like we did a pretty good job. tried the avocado toast for the first time and easily top two avocado toasts i’ve ever ordered at a restaurant—smoked salmon, egg, microgreens, sun dried tomatoes, THICK toasted sourdough. amazing no notes. mothers breakfast pictured second, a classic with cheddar grits and warm biscuits with a fantastic butter jam combo. cinnamon roll to share (we’ve decided it’s the best pastry option…banana bread a close second) with fruit. iced coffee for dad which i usually get but tried matcha this time with 1/2 sweet vanilla and nonfat milk…YES! 10/10! ranks higher than the coffee in my opinion, top matcha in austin??? was the last meal of the weekend but such a staple and never disappoints 👌 by @eatwithlogan

eats and activities and wonderful things🙌🙌 we are so back🐂🤘🏻 📍arriba abajo - 10/10 chippies, hibiscus ranch water, taco salad pretty good. chips and queso were great but not loving the taco bowl situation it was too greasy 📍yamas - artemis spritz, athenian spritz, apps this place feels like vacation in the most fantastic way i seriously could order every single thing on the menu. the spritz: 📍kesos tacos PERFECT pregame win brunch. chicken fajita taco no queso no potatoes sooooo so bomb and so cheap. like under $5. 📍kesos tacos FROZEN MARG unmatched and also $5. chips and queso were fantastic dare i say de nada level???? 📍de nada the motherland. not even a month into school and i’ve been four times. maybe five actually. the best queso you’ve ever had truly and these salsas were fire. obviously amazing margs but not pictured here unfortunately brekky from the kitch. speaks for itself little thai chili tuna action PUMPKIN BANANA BREAD. by @eatwithlogan
