Who do I know who does woodworking or carpentry? Found a lovely table at an estate sale. Lovely but old/a touch delicate. Tried to right size it by myself out of the car annnndd heard a little crack. Id find when i tried to wheel it over the carpet that the crack was one of the legs. 🙄

I think it can be fixed but I have zero tools for doing it. Ping me if you have any recommendations or wood working talent. Thanks!

That crazy rain storm here in D.C. just before Labor Day was a beast but man oh man, my flowers (except the phylox 😪) just loved it. Especially the purple guara! Didnt start flowering until late August then went into bloom overdrive. #supervisormildred made sure I got all the weeds while she sunbathed.

Damn it, just learned the great @dollyparton just passed away at 80. She was a soundtrack to my childhood, and one of the three concerts where called my mom and said, "guess where I am" so she could hear some of it (Mom went to see Dolly, Loretta, and Willie, among many others with her friends when I was a kid). Dolly was also an incredible philanthropist, quietly giving money to lots of causes over the years, and of course, her Imagination Library was just outstanding.

Take a listen to the great episode on her at the @disgracelandpod podcast in her honor today. The woman was light years ahead of her time, with talent as big as her hair. Godspeed Dolly, ya done good.

When making a soup without an end photo goes wrong...Set out to make a cool corn chowder like soup, with corn, hominy, pablano peppers, potatoes....Only my hand mixer went a little overboard and I wound up with Cream of Starch.

Jacques Pepin would fail me on my puree skills. Well...not if he liked Cream of Wheat of course :)

In 2011, #davegrohl met up with @bobmouldmusic on stage for a version of Hardly Getting Over It. I first saw Bob do this song acoustic at a place called Bogies in Albany, NY in 1989 and it knocked me sideways, made me an instant fan. The recorded version on Candy Apple Grey by @hoosker_doo didnt come close to capturing what i saw on that small stage on that random fall night.

This 2011 version with Grohl, @jasonnarducy and @jonwurster though? Kills me every time. Check it out, the show at Disney Hall in CA.

Oh wow, finally watched the doc on @sugarcopperblue called Changes: The Story of Sugar and it is GLORIOUS. You know events when you can say exactly where you were when something happened? I was in Dudley Square Boston with @kevinj765 when I heard Copper Blue and OMG it was mind melting.

@bobmouldmusic has long been a fav of mine and it has always been an honor to me that my photo of him at the @930club 30th Anniversary Show is in the book about the club. He is a rare talent and also such a regular guy...so humble for all the impact he has made on so many. Bob Mould proves chart topping hits are ok, but real talent and impact? Thats respect a kabillion-fold. Im SO excited he is getting his due for such seminal records.
