Built this from the ground up with a vision bigger than basketball.

Every picture represents trust, growth, accountability, and the work nobody sees behind the scenes. From team talks to individual moments, this is what coaching is really about building confidence, pushing limits, and helping young women become leaders on and off the court.

The goal was never just wins.
It was impact.

Proud of every player in this program and the culture we’re continuing to build. The work doesn’t stop here. 🐍

Part 8. Why does this sequence matter in real games? Because the top of the key is where you have the most space but also where the defense has the most time to react.

You rip right, attack the elbow, and force the defense to commit. When they cut you off, you change direction and finish on the left side with your inside hand. That’s not just a move it’s a read, a counter, and a finish all in one possession.

Most players get stuck at the elbow. The elite ones change direction, use the rim, and finish with the weak hand. Comment “IQ” for the workout.

Part 7. Let’s break this down, because starting from the left corner changes everything.

If you rip through right, you’re attacking the middle away from the baseline. The defense isn’t expecting that; they’re trained to send you baseline into the help. So you rip right, attack the heart of the defense, and force them to commit. The change of direction is the read when they cut you off. The reverse is the counter you use the rim as a shield and finish on the opposite side where the help can’t reach you.

Most players get trapped in the corner because they only go baseline. The good ones rip middle, change direction, and reverse it. Comment “IQ” and I’ll send the drill.

Part 6. Here’s what’s actually happening in this sequence:

Rip through: Creates separation and forces the defender to respect your drive.
Behind the back: Changes direction without losing control or speed.
Kick out with the left: Tests vision and decision-making can you make the right pass with your weak hand?
Reset and repeat: Proves it wasn’t a fluke can you do it again?
Bounce pass with the left: A read, not a bailout.
Attack the paint: Draws help and collapses the defense.
Kick out and relocate: The discipline to move without the ball.
One-dribble pull-up: The payoff.

Every piece builds on the last. If any one of them breaks down, the whole possession falls apart. That’s why we drill it. Comment “IQ” for the workout.

Part 5. Parents, I know this drill looks boring. No defender, no flashy finish, just a stationary crossover. But this is where the real ball control is built. If your kid can’t control the ball standing still with both hands, they have zero chance when a defender is in their chest. Master the boring work now, and the flashy plays will come later. Part 5. Most players make the pass and stand still. Watch the whole thing: wrap bounce pass with the left, relocate, catch, pump fake, one dribble, pull up. That’s four decisions in three seconds and none of them are the shot. The bucket is just the reward. The real skill is knowing where to be after you give it up. Comment “SPACE” and I’ll send you the drill. #BasketballIQ #CreateSpace #GetToYourSpot #Separation #Hoops taken in Broward County by @ebcoachdavid

POV: your kid finally stops dribbling with one hand and starts chaining moves together. Part 3: jab right, go left, crossover right, finish right. Both hands. Real footwork. No shortcuts. This is the foundation that makes everything else easier later. Drills before games, always.

Part 4. Most players get cut off once and give up on the play. Watch this: drive, get cut off, split right, get cut off AGAIN, spin, and finish off the glass. That’s not talent that’s a bag full of counters and the patience to use them. One move gets you stopped. Two or three moves in a row gets you a bucket. Comment “SPACE” and I’ll send you the drill.

Before you step on a court, you need a bag. Part 2: pump fake, rip through, crossover, finish with the weak hand. That’s four moves chained into one rep and most beginners can’t do a single one clean. Stop worrying about highlights and start mastering the fundamentals. If you can’t finish with your left, you’re only half a player.

Part 3 is the one everybody skips. Watch the whole thing: handle, drive, paint touch, baseline pass, come off the screen, catch and shoot. That’s not a play that’s a player who understands the game three moves ahead. Most guys drive to score. The real ones drive to create, keep the ball alive, relocate, and get to their spot. Comment “SPACE” and I’ll send you the drill.

Your handoff game is weak if all you do is catch and shoot. Part 2 is, getting downhill off the DHO, and creating separation before your defender can recover. Getting to your spot off a dribble handoff is a skill nobody drills, and it’s the reason good players stay guarded and great ones don’t. Comment “SPACE” for the workout.

POV: your defender knows exactly where you’re going, the whole gym knows where you’re going, and you still get to your spot and make them pay. That’s not luck. That’s hours of footwork, balance, and reading the defender before the catch. Getting space and creating separation is the difference between a good player and a problem. Most hoopers practice shots; the real ones practice getting open. Comment “SPACE” for the drill.
