Scenic Road is today's challenge.

Peak foliage in Crawford Notch, taken on Tuesday 10-06-2026.

Leading lines, railroad trestle, and fall foliage - the perfect combo.

F is for Fall

I took this as a test shot while scouting the location last year. I was about a week too early, it was raining, and I didn't have a clear view like I wanted, and didn't bring my waders.

But this shot didn't come out half bad.

Late autumn in Medford, Massachusetts.

This was a reverse sunrise shot taken in late October of last year. That's the John D. Hand Memorial Bridge reflecting in the water.

Day 1: Sky

A great sunrise on Friday morning, didn't have time to go anywhere interesting, but threw the drone up real quick while taking the dogs outside.

I'll be honest, I completely dropped the ball this year, and didn't do any new creepy clown photography.

There's still time though, and November gives off creepy vibes once all the leaves have fallen from the trees. To my fellow New England photographers, if you're interested in doing this, reach out, especially if you have some cool spots in mind.

This was taken last year alongside @citronomics

The aqueduct in Northboro. Always a favorite stop in Central Massachusetts during the autumn months. This was taken a few weeks ago during near peak conditions.

Early Fall at Glen Ellis Falls.

Or, Glen Alice, as the kids liked to call it.

This was taken back at the end of September, and the leaves were just starting to turn in Pinkham Notch.

The Hunter Moon Rise didn't work out quite as planned last night. Clouds got in the way of the planned shot with Boston Light.

So here is the full moon over the Squantum Yacht Club at Wollaston Beach in Quincy.

Looking forward to doing some more moon and night sky stuff soon, now that foliage has pretty much wrapped up.

You ever drive somewhere, over an hour away, hike over a mile to a spot, and then find out you have no memory card in your camera? That memory card was still in your computer from going out the evening before?

Well, that's what happened here. I tried using my phone to take some raw photos in pro mode, but the phone just wasn't capturing the details I wanted in the photo.

So, this photo is the result of a second drive a day later, and another hike into the woods. I hope it was worth it, because it officially burnt me out with chasing fall foliage.

This is a shot of the Wallum Lake Road bridge, alongside the Douglas State Forest, located over the Southern New England Trunkline Trail.

Nothing but fall vibes in this shot.

Mount Adams being hidden by the clouds, but still revealing some snowliage back on October 6th. Man, I wish these conditions would last longer. It's always such a treat to experience peak foliage in New England.

Day 23: Long Exposure

Sunset afterglow, foliage, and traffic, all through the fence on a bridge overlooking 495.

The fence was a challenge. I didn't like it at first, but then I just accepted it. The only thing I didn't think of was how the bridge has some flex to it, so when traffic drives over it, it moves, making long exposures quite difficult to get a clean shot. With enough patience and the right timing, I was able to get some semi decent shots, but I probably won't try this from this spot again.
