✨Artist Spotlight: Thomas Dowdeswell @thomasdowdeswell ✨

We’re excited to feature the striking work of Thomas Dowdeswell, whose paintings explore the tension between structure and chaos through vivid colour, surreal imagery and layered symbolism. His art invites viewers to reflect on the complexity of modern life - political, social and emotional - through a lens that’s both abstract and deeply human.

Our featured piece, ‘The Jungle’ (152 × 152 cm, oil on canvas), is a powerful composition of movement and form. With bold contrasts and expressive figures, it captures a world in flux, a visual conversation between order and disorder, individuality and collective experience.

Thomas will be exhibiting his latest works at The Other Art Fair London this October, bringing his distinctive, thought‑provoking style to a UK audience.

As the Official Packing & Shipping Partner, EBISS is proud to support artists like Thomas with expert art handling, professional packing and seamless global shipping, ensuring every artwork is cared for from studio to collector.

Last night Isabella, our Art Team Lead, attended The Unclassified at the Korean Cultural Centre UK @kccuk - a special moment to see the final outcome of a long‑term project we’ve been proud to support for artist Meekyoung Shin @meekyoungshinartstudio.

15 weeks ago, our team installed Meekyoung Shin’s stunning Soap Sculptures in bathrooms across London. One week ago, we collected them - each piece now beautifully transformed after weeks of handwashing and interaction. Every sculpture carries the imprint of hundreds of hands, reshaped through daily use into a completely new form.

Seeing these evolved works brought together in their final exhibition setting was a powerful reminder of how art, space, and people interact over time.

The Unclassified features works by
Meekyoung Shin, Ayoung Kim, siren eun young jung, and Gala Porras‑Kim - and runs at KCCUK until 31 December.
