Some songs have a timeless quality; they find their way to people just when they need them most.
I haven't released anything nor recorded anything for a few years, I figure Chris Cornell's birthday is as good a day as any to release my one take cover of my favorite Chris song.

Chris Cornell’s music has illuminated some of my darkest days, and "Seasons" has always resonated with an deep, unapologetic honesty. It’s reflective, lonely, yet filled with a glimmer of hope, all while carrying a haunting vibe.

In honor of Chris’s birthday, I decided to create a simple tribute. Just a guitar, my voice, and deep appreciation for an artist whose legacy continues to inspire so many, And one that saved my life so many times.

This recording is dedicated to Chris Cornell and to everyone who still seeks solace in his music.

Happy Birthday, Chris.

NE 20th and Couch St, Portland, Oregon. 5:36AM. 4th Floor.

The city’s still half-asleep,
but something in me’s already been awake too long.

Power lines hum like quiet prayers overhead,
and the sky bleeds just enough to remind me
another day showed up whether I was ready or not.

There’s a strange kind of peace in that.

There’s a weight that doesn’t show up in daylight—
it waits, quiet, until everything else goes still.

This is what it looks like when it finally steps forward. Not to be fixed. Not to be hidden. Just seen.

I’m learning that facing it is the only way through it.

There’s something honest about getting your hands dirty—
charcoal, paint, even pixels pretending to be both.

Lately I’ve been letting things come out raw. Feels closer to truth that way.

This is me learning.
