I want to be clear about why I’m responding to this.This didn’t happen in isolation. This clip was produced, edited, captioned, and shared for engagement. It was clickbait and the framing mattered.The wider channel makes that clear. Sexually explicit conversations paired with shallow, careless opinions are the format. This wasn’t a serious attempt at discussion, it was spectacle doing what it’s designed to do.Within 24 hours of its post the video was shared close to 10 thousand times. Young people are watching this content and learning what gets laughed at. I have a 16-year-old son. This matters to me.This isn’t about Demitri.It’s about the interviewer and the producers who created an environment where Black women’s bodies became entertainment through a loaded question, repeated laughter, and racist on-screen text that was never said.Racism doesn’t always arrive as a slur. Sometimes it arrives as laughter, framing and “just jokes”.And when content like this is made for clicks, the harm doesn’t stay theoretical.It spreads.#racism #leavemealone#misogynoir#blackwomen #blackbodies by @ebony_deans
