THE PATH OF THE JUST II

Dancing to the Beat of One Drummer

There is something deeper about walking with God than simply knowing where you are going. Light gives direction, but it is rhythm that governs movement. You can see the road clearly and still move out of step.

A drummer does not move for you. He establishes the time, and you learn to move with it. I think obedience becomes something like that. You become so familiar with God that there are things you simply cannot move with anymore, not because they are necessarily wrong, but because you cannot hear Him in them.

And maybe that is where the path becomes narrower. Not because there are fewer things you can do, but because there are fewer things that still sound right. Some things are not sinful, they are simply off beat.

The danger is not always leaving the path. Sometimes it is remaining on the right path while slowly adopting the wrong rhythm.

So perhaps The Path of the Just is not only about receiving more light. It is learning the sound of the One behind the light, until your life begins to move to HIS rhythm.

THE PATH OF THE JUST

The path of the just is not bright because everything makes sense. It is bright because something has been revealed, just enough to move. God does not hand a man the full picture at once. He gives light in portions, and that portion is always enough for the next step.

As a man continues, it is not only direction that comes into view, but the man himself. Patterns, attachments, quiet compromises begin to stand out. Light does that. It does not only guide, it exposes. So the path is not just taking a man forward, it is working on him as he moves.

This is why many slow down. Not because there is no light, but because there is clarity. A man can stand in light and still refuse to move, not because he cannot see, but because he does not want to deal with what has been revealed.😄

So the question is not whether the path is shining. The question is whether you are still following.

Walk with the light you have.

The best of things are often appreciated in Paradox. A diamond shines brightest when held against the backdrop of darkness. The beauty of a sunrise is made sweeter by the stillness of the night that precedes it. Likewise, the glory of God can only be embraced when we understand that it is both concealed and revealed.

It draws us in with mystery, yet transforms us with its splendour. The more we seek, the more we find, and the more we find, the more we realise we have only begun to scratch the surface😄.

THE GLORY OF GOD - HIS SOVEREIGNTY AND WAYS!

Glory is not just the brilliance of God’s appearance but rather the unsearchable perfection of His order.

In Scripture, “ways” speaks of more than God’s acts. His ways are the patterns of His wisdom, and the invisible architecture that guide all creation to its appointed end.

We often see His acts miracles, signs, wonders but I have come to learn that His ways are hidden, revealed only to those who walk closely with Him. Israel saw His ACTS, but Moses knew His WAYS.

And when we call Him “glorious,” we are not simply describing beauty we are acknowledging that there is no counsel higher, nor decision purer, than His.

His sovereignty is not dictatorship, it is the reign of perfect love that can never fail.

Hence why My soul now sings - Your ways are my ways now Yahweh. Your sovereignty is my safety. Your glory is my dwelling place.

THE GLORY OF GOD - THE MYSTERY OF WORSHIP IN ACCESSING THE GLORY.

Worship is not a right, it is a privilege. Psalm 65:4 says Blessed is the man whom You choose, and cause to approach unto You, that he may dwell in Your courts. As crazy as it may sound, worship is never self-initiated😄.

It is God who causes us to approach. Every true moment of worship is not a product of human decision alone but a divine permission, a summoning into His glory when God’s reality presses upon the spirit of man until posture, words, and thoughts must bow.

True worship must thus cease from being RITUAL. and rather become ALIGNMENT.

And the line in the song that resonates the most for me is “to be called into Your presence as Your own” as it unveils the mystery of sonship. Angels encircle the throne and cry “Holy,” yet they are never called His own. That honor is reserved for the children of God, adopted into His family through Christ (Romans 8).

Jesus Himself prayed in John 17:22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one, I in them, and You in Me, that they may be made perfect in one. Glory is not only what we behold, it is what we receive. The Father has chosen not only to surround us with His glory but to deposit it within us, so that the same glory that rests on the Son now rests upon His sons and daughters.

To be called His own is to carry His glory. It is this glory that unites us, transforms us, and makes Christ visible in us to a watching world.

In the natural world, maturity is marked by independence. Growing up means learning to navigate life on your own, making decisions, and setting the course for your future. But in the Kingdom of God, the opposite is true. Spiritual maturity is not about gaining independence from God, it is about growing in deeper dependence on Him.

The more we mature in Christ, the more we recognize that our strength, wisdom, and direction must come from Him alone. This is the lesson Jesus taught Peter in John 21:18, that while youth may allow for self-reliance, true growth in the Kingdom leads us to surrender, allowing God to lead us where He wills.

In the Kingdom, dependence is not weakness, it is the mark of a mature son.
