And we’re off! Day one of @decorex_international 2026 is complete and we kicked things off with our first panel talk of the week, featuring clients sharing their insights on building a career in interior design.

Hosted by @busolaevans, the discussion brought together Tiffany Duggan of @studioduggan, Jonathan Mount of @proj_london and Alicia Meireles of @own.london, who spoke about entering the industry, changing career paths and growing a studio.

Three key takeaways for anyone starting out in interior design:

1️⃣ Get as much experience as you can at as many different studios as possible. Understanding the various processes behind a project gives you a strong foundation for building your own design business.

2️⃣ Invest in great photography. Professional interior photography is invaluable for showcasing your work, communicating your design style and giving potential clients a glimpse of your approach.

3️⃣ Build a team that complements your skills. Surround yourself with people who bring strengths where you have gaps, and who can take ownership of the areas of the business you enjoy less.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us - there was not a seat free in the house! And thank you to Decorex for hosting such a brilliant first day. taken in Decorex Kensingt Olympia by @eburycomms

Lighting ideas for your home, from expert designer @portiafoxdesign.

Portia Fox recently spoke to @pip.rich at @livingetcofficial about how to create a lighting scheme that’s both practical and atmospheric.

One tip that caught our attention: don’t pick your paint colour before you’ve worked out your lighting. The way a room is lit can completely change how a colour looks and, in turn, how the whole space feels.

Exciting news from Sicily as our client @roccoforteprivatevillas - Sicily’s first and only branded residences - is bringing forward the delivery of four new villas earlier than planned in response to high demand over the summer from global buyers seeking larger, prime coastal residences.

A positive sign of Sicily’s growing international appeal, and in the strength of the branded residences proposition on the island. taken in Rocco Forte Private Villas by @eburycomms

We’re pleased to see our client @plparchitecture featured in @ribajournal’s latest Making Buildings series, exploring the story behind Park Nova in Singapore.

PLP Partner Tina Qiu shares the thinking behind the 21-storey Park Nova, exploring how its fluid silhouette, planted terraces and bespoke façade systems bring the concept of a vertical garden to life.

With nearly 200 trees, 50,000 shrubs and 35 plant species, Park Nova brings architecture and the natural world together in a distinctive approach to luxury residential design.

Last week, Open House Festival came to @banksideyards for an evening of conversation around heritage, regeneration and placemaking.

Set within one of the newly refurbished arches, speakers Nicholas Gray of @nativeland_ltd, Lee Polisano of @plparchitecture and architectural historian Lucy Denton explored how a long-hidden piece of Victorian infrastructure is being brought back into public life as part of the 5.5-acre transformation of Bankside Yards.

Chaired by Leanne Tritton, Hon FRIBA, Chair of The London Society, the discussion explored the site’s past, present and future - and its role in reconnecting the cultural life of the South Bank.

Thank you to our speakers and everyone who joined us for an evening of thoughtful conversation. taken in Bankside Yards by @eburycomms

We are pleased to share that our client @haminteriors was featured on @sheerluxe earlier this week in a home tour showcasing their beautiful Estuary House project.

Situated along a Devon estuary, this 18th-century home was transformed by HÁM interior design duo Tom and Pamela Cox into a soothing weekend retreat for a young family. The residence thoughtfully pairs classic country-house elements with functional materials, rich patterns, and a curated mix of vintage and modern furnishings.

A big thank you to @georginablaskey for this lovely feature! by @eburycomms

Alicia Meireles, Creative Director at @own.london, recently joined Jen Fernandez at @businessofhome for the latest instalment of their What I Love series, where designers share the details, objects and ideas inspiring their work right now.

Drawing on her Portuguese roots and the crystal-clear waters of her childhood home, Alicia created an evocative mood board titled 'Eternal Summer'. “I wanted to add warmth you can almost feel under your hand, textures that catch the light differently depending on the hour, and colours that go deep and saturated rather than fading into the background,” says Meireles.

Day 2 of General Stores by @studio.ham ✅

This week, our client Studio HÁM opened the doors to its first ever pop-up at FOCUS/26 @designcentrech.

Designed as a vision for what a Studio HÁM store could look like, the space takes inspiration from the eclecticism of an American General Store, bringing together new lighting and furniture designs alongside a preview of a beautiful new fabric collection (watch this space👀).

It was a joy to welcome design media and industry friends throughout the day, with coffee from Old Boy Coffee keeping everyone fuelled.

If you’re at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour, head down to the Design Avenue to take a look for yourself. A huge congratulations to the Studio HÁM team on their outstanding and very hard work!
