HOLY WOMP! Still on cloud 9! What a freakin’ WHIRLWIND DanceFestopia! Emerald City, you were wild!

In case you missed it, this month I had the opportunity to CLOSE OUT the Red Bull Truck in Kansas City at Dancefestopia! For anyone who’s interested, here’s a little story time on how I got this dream gig! 👇

Each year, the Yellow Brick Road Tour opens up opportunities for rising DJs to come out and mix in front of a panel of judges and a crowd to win an invite to perform at Dancefestopia. You already know your girl submitted to every. single. city. I was qualified to perform in. Out of 1,800 artist submissions, I was invited to compete in not one, but TWO major cities. I was first invited out to perform in Columbus, Ohio but I LOST the competition. So when it came time to compete AGAIN in New York, you better believe I wasn’t playin’ around this time. I was stoked to bring it back to my home town - it was REDEMPTION TIME. This was one of my favorite sets to perform to date. When I tell you I was in FLOW. All the stress to get there went out the door and the energy from you all fueled my little DJ soul. It was at this set that I won both the Judges Vote AND the Crowd Vote and was invited to perform at Dancefestopia. Talk about redemption.

Huge thank you to everyone who made this a possibility. I especially want to thank the amazing production and stage crew as they not only put on an amazing and successful show but gave me as an artist an absolutely amazing experience! Just feeling so grateful for it all. Xo 🙏💟

These women are just a few of the most influential figures in my life. I’ve had the joy of meeting/ working with/ and sharing stages with incredible women across the country through music. For that, I am so grateful. I know that to continue this dream of mine is a blessing, and only achievable when me, these wonderful women, and everyone stands together to fight for equal rights. Today, we fight. Tomorrow, we conquer. 🏆 I love you all by @ecaaps
