Emily Bass (@ecbass) — yes, it’s pronounced like the fish, she’s been fighting that battle her whole life — graced the living room with her signature feel good, dance-anywhere set.

She grew up playing violin, flute, piano, and chorus before finding her way to the decks. Now Brooklyn based, her sets move between house, disco, funk, and somehow a few jam band nods that actually work.

Track ID: Big Tuba (Remix) by Hot 8 Brass Band, Kraak & Smaak -> Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe (Extended Mix) by Trace and Liquid Rose.

Full set on YouTube — link in bio.

NEW EPISODE!! 🚨 This month on Flock Talk, we’re joined by Emily Bass, Executive Director of @thisisfemmehouse 💿✨

Founded by @lpgiobbi , FEMME HOUSE is creating opportunities for women, gender-expansive, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ creatives in the behind-the-scenes + technical sides of music—breaking barriers in production, mixing, engineering, and DJing.

We talk with Emily about:
🎶 Why representation matters on stage and behind the boards
🎶 FEMME HOUSE’s free programming + education for anyone ready to break into the technical side of the music industry
🎶 Why community is everything in today’s music landscape

Whether you’re an aspiring producer, a jam scene lifer, or just curious about the future of music equity—this one’s for you.

🎧 Listen now wherever you get your podcasts.
