♥️ Fantasy + Romance Vibes 🧚‍♀️ 💕 💦 📖 🐈

🔥General Synopsis: Time to ~literally~ get lost in a fantasy world! Eileen (Elsy) is on her way to a romance book retreat when she finds herself stranded in Quixotic Falls, the setting of the romance book series she is absolutely obsessed with that has gotten her through thick and thin. There, she meets all her favorite characters and learns to love herself again

✅What Went Well:
-I really liked the painting of this town- it gave Stars Hollows (I love Gilmore Girls) vibes and was comforting to read about. You as the reader can definitely insert there and imagine the small town scenery perfectly.
-Anders himself, Elsy’s love interest, is well written with a well fleshed out backstory by the end of the novel and who doesn’t want a grumpy bookstore owner?? 😂 His cat Butterscotch also sounds adorable and all of Butterscotch’s shenanigans throughout the novel were minor but very cute
-Both Anders and Elsy go through a journey of finding themselves and recovering after loss and I feel like Poston (the author) highlights peoples’ coping mechanisms after dark times really well and what a struggle recovery can be after loss.

💡What Could Have Been Better:
-I feel like the enemies-to-lovers dynamic between Elsy + Anders was kinda dramatic- they hated eachother with a passion for the most part and then it seemed like they were suddenly in the throes of love
-Anders developing his relationship with Elsy after loss of a prior romantic relationship and the internal struggle of this is a missed opportunity that could have been explored
-I’ve read The Seven-Year Slip written by the same author and I felt like that novel developed all of its characters and overall story better taken in The Bookstore by @ecf.booking

WHAT’S NEW FOR 2026???? ⬇️ (comment down below how your 2026 has been so far)

~~BOOK REVIEWS STARTING WITH THE THIRTEENTH CHILD BY @penchant4words ~~

🚨 FULL REVIEW LINKED IN BIO 🚨

🤷‍♀️ I like to read and I’ve been wanting to do my own book reviews on insta for awhile now so here it goes. If you’re interested great and if not also great 🤷‍♀️

🧂This book is great if you like fantasy and was def a great escape from reality. Overall I had a good amount of tweaks but still a good read to check out. I’d say it’s mostly fantasy based and there’s a lot of finding yourself, internal dilemmas, and a hint of romance in this story~~ so if you’re into that sorta stuff check it out 👏

Hopefully I get back on the show booking grind too 😭 and if you want any articles done, upcoming concert promos, online interviews, etc. feel free to send a dm 🔥 taken in The Bookstore by @ecf.booking
