OMINESS, IN SHAME, ECHO DEATH all together to celebrate heavy music! Plus if you really want to split hairs, Blighted Elder, Barren Altar, Swamp Witch, Evulse, Atone, Caffa, Lycus & Sleepbomb.

It’s is honestly such an honor and delight to see bands I admire joining forces with one another and championing each other, I’ve been trying to push that for a long time now and in the past few years it’s been shaping up a lot more regularly and just as a fan it puts a smile on my face. I’m all about lifting folks up, this isn’t a competition, we can all win and do well and it’s better for everyone. It means the world to me to see and the fact I can play a minuscule part in it is wonderful. I could go on about each individual here, but I’ll just say this, I respect everyone and for the opportunity to take up space in these sorts of wonderful places. I spent my teenage years in a small town that often got over looked by bands so I busted my butt to change that and build a community and scene for folks to come to and now getting to do the same in towns outside of the major markets and seeing a positive reception, it means a lot. Santa Rosa is wonderful, a lot of bands have hit me up saying we want to play Oakland on tour and I tell them look into Santa Rosa, look into Sacramento, and San Jose, there’s lots of killer places to play outside of the typical norm, but it’s up to us to make these places destinations.

Bless the Arlene Francis Center in Santa Rosa for existing and providing a much needed space for cultural and artistic community. by @echo_death

Echo Death, fiery epic funeral DOOM and one man band done right! The mastermind behind this, Trevor Deschryver, has been working on this particular project for several years now, fine tuning and perfecting his craft. I’ve been championing Trevor for close to two decades now, I know that anything and everything he does is going to be worthwhile, from Doom to Shoegaze, to Black Metal, Post-Punk & Industrial, his contributions are always going to be top notch. Echo Death is his baby and like all of his other projects, it’s tragically devastating and absolutely crushing. In 2026 you will all be able to hear what he’s been working on over the years but until then enjoy footage of him playing at Shady Oak Barrel House in Santa Rosa(CA) by @echo_death

Thank you to everyone who came out to the most recent shows and made them possible. It was an honor to open for Abyssal, Barren Altar, and Blighted Elder this past weekend in Santa Rosa, and the previous one for Silent Mass, The Tunnel, and Oraison at the DNA. Special thanks to Transylvanian Recordings for believing in this project, and to the strong community keeping underground music and art alive. by @echo_death

ECHO DEATH is an epic 1 man Funeral Doom/Industrial powerhouse from Oakland(CA) that will be kicking things off on Sunday at the showcase at Shady Oak Brewery in Santa Rosa(CA). Their first aural offering will be out when the time is right but for now prepare for a killer performance, with live drums and soul churning vocals, reminiscent of bands like Thergothon. Abysmal, Dark and punishing. ECHO DEATH is led by Trevor Deschryver, whom many of you are familiar with from his time in Deafheaven, Lycus, Wolves In The Throne Room, & Dispirit, Trevor is one of the best drummers in the Underground and this project is his baby. Come catch a glimpse of what’s in store at a killer gig filled with excellence top to bottom alongside Abyssal from Mexico, Barren Altar from Santa Rosa and the live debut from Bay Area black metal super group Blighted Elder, this Sunday at Shady Oak Barrel House. It’s an all ages gig and an early show, no excuses by @echo_death
