Fatherhood after loss is often unseen.
Too many grieving dads are placed in the background, when their hearts ache just as deeply.
They might carry the weight quietly: the paperwork, the practicalities, the show of strength. While their own grief waits in the shadows.

This Father’s Day, we remember every dad who has known the joy of love and the sorrow of loss.
The dads whose babies live only in memory, the dads who entrusted their hearts through surrogacy, the dads who continue to hold space for their families while carrying their own broken pieces.

Red Nose has been a lifeline for us and for countless other families, while also leading the way in reducing SIDS. Today is about remembering, supporting, and giving hope.

A rainbow doesn’t erase the storm, it shows us that light can follow even the darkest skies. 🌈

Yesterday was Rainbow Baby Day, and though I’m a day late, that’s just me being the me who lives with grief. This is our first time marking it with our beautiful rainbow baby in our arms. She is here because of Lucia, not instead of her. Lucia was never the storm, but losing her was.

Rainbow Baby Day recognizes babies born after loss, but not every parent connects with that term. What matters most is the love, the memories, and the way each story is held. For us, it means honoring all of our daughters, forever woven together in love.

I also want to hold space for the many families who do not go on to have another baby after loss. Your stories, your children, and your love are just as valid, seen, and honored today and every day.
