This set was a highly personal journey through the leftfield bass spectrum. Starting raw and poetic with @_katetempest_ , driving through heavy 140/UKG weight, dropping that unreleased heavy hitter with me and @unit109_ and closing on a soulful, misty note.

We are incredibly excited to welcome this month’s spotlight and first international guest, @echocatcher ִ ࣪𖤐✶˚ ༘ ⋆

Echo is one of the driving forces behind Shanghai’s underground music scene. A DJ, producer and visual artist, she has carved out a sound rooted in UK bass music, influenced by her time and studies in the UK.

A familiar face in Shanghai’s clubs, she’s held a long-running residency at (now closed) @elevatorshanghai and is now a resident at @heimshanghai. Beyond the booth, she is the founder of @bouncybouncy_sh, the label and party series exploring the depth and diversity of underground bass club music. Echo is also the co-founder of @funkylobby_andet (previously ANDet), a vinyl-focused community space that’s become a hub for music, food and culture, as well as home to the independent radio project Banban FM, BOUNCY ON AIR. Her parties have invited and hosted local and international guests including Naarm’s Moopie, Knopha, Ciel, Manami, Upsammy and more.
