a tale of two sisters, bound by a past neither of them can fully understand. separated by their own pain, yet drawn to one another by something neither can escape. amidst the forest and the ruins of a place they once called home, one disappears into the darkness, convinced she is cursed. she longs to be found, yet fears what it means to be seen. the darkness has become familiar and comforting. even as she calls for help, a part of her continues to return to it. the other is left searching, carrying the weight of a guilt she cannot seem to escape. two souls caught between loss and longing, destruction and salvation. an invisible thread pulling them towards each other, even when everything else threatens to tear them apart. will the sins of their past eventually unravel into something beautiful? will they ever reach a state of eternal peace? some say, if you wander deep enough into the forest, you can still hear their souls collide…

i think i’ve been forgotten.

i keep waiting for the sound of your footsteps, convinced that if i stay here long enough, you’ll find your way back to me. i’ve started to wonder if the place itself is keeping me here. the walls look different every time i open my eyes. i can no longer remember how i got here.

what pushed me over the edge this time?

it’s all so blurry… feel…completely consumed by something. or someone.

i tried to leave some time ago. somehow, i ended up back where i started. perhaps i was never meant to be found.

you said something to me once. i can’t remember the words anymore. only that i believed you.

i miss you. i miss the one person who ever made me feel safe.

i don’t know if you’re still looking for me. i only know that i can’t keep waiting for someone who may not even remember i exist.

but where am i supposed to go?

i have nowhere left to return to.

i am still here.

alone.

I forgot how much the autumn air revitalises me. my soul replenished, and for a moment, I feel human again. for too long I wandered through the darkest rooms below, pleading to be released. shackled. bleeding. over and over again. listening to the echoes of my own voice begging to be heard. silence. unanswered. deafening. but my blood is nowhere to be found. is she searching for me? does she know I lost my way? I wonder if she’ll follow the trail of blood I left behind. crimson bleeding onto the earth, scars carved into the trees, each one marking the way home. I wonder how much blood must be spilled before our souls finally find each other again.

caught in a whirlwind of conflicting emotions and bittersweet apathy. swept up in my own stubborn ritual which cannot be completed at this time for an unknown reason. am I waiting for something? something I’ve never experienced before? or will i be the one to instigate something of fatal calibre? where will it take me this time? hopefully to something of substance. of meaning. of true freedom. I’m sick of disappearing.

$i am a living paradox, bleeding through every universe, fracturing in every timeline. a thousand versions of me have betrayed themselves, but not this one. not anymore. i alone hold the power to sustain myself, to grant my own desires, to nourish my own hunger. yet still, how exquisite it would be to surrender, not in weakness, but in reverence. to be cherished, pursued, and provided for. to rest beneath the shadow of a devoted wing, not as some shattered bird begging to be mended, but as one who deserves devotion, finally allowed to be adorned with care. and yet, something sick and perverse inside me still thinks that may never be enough to satiate the abyss within me. i am a fucking paradox. 17.09.25 by @echoes_of_rin$

it’s been a while since I’ve had full blown psychosis. since I’ve seen the shadow people. im worried that if I speak my truth they will return. the truth being that…i miss them. sadistic, i know. but is it because of the cruel realisation that i am “getting better” and that they no longer seek my pain, and that i, in turn no longer crave their twisted companionship? or is it a sinister reminder that i am utterly alone, yet still ache for their visitations, despite the terror and fear they evoke within me.

i miss them. i miss the sensation of losing myself completely, of my sanity cracking it and all i see is darkness, and the void, in which they crawl out of. i miss their voices. the visceral screams, the profanity. it’s been so long, but does that mean they’re truly gone? do they linger, waiting, preying upon my next unraveling, my next descent into madness? or perhaps, in some perverse symmetry, do they miss me too? do they wish to comfort me in my tormented, twisted solitude? maybe i too bring them a sense of comfort. solace. after all, we are the only creatures that understand each other. that can see each other. i mean truly see each other. no mask. no disguise. no facade. i wonder, when will they return? for now, all i see are the bugs. and i do not like bugs.

drifting. always drifting. endlessly out into the open waters. into the suffocating, relentless void. helpless. always helpless. i beg to be saved. by something. by anyone. i can’t do it anymore. purgatory feels like home now. is this it? is this all it has to offer? im so lost. always searching. for something. for my sanity. lost in the torment of my mind. aching, always. hurting, always.

the insects have begun to infiltrate my room again. crawling all over my floor, all over my skin. as if i am the one who is rotting, as if i am the one who summoned them. the shadows linger above my fragmented core again. entangled in my lament, kneeling on my chest. suffocating me until i cough up shards of my sanity. as expected, there is nothing left. but how strangely romantic is it to be consumed, devoured, by flesh eating harbingers? or to be visited by infernal entities? it’s a sweet arrangement we have together. one we devised long ago in the dark. they eat and i am eaten. they whisper and i listen. they take what’s left of me and i don’t resist. i surrender

at least it’s consensual

people, unless bound to me by intimacy, rarely perceive me as my own person. i am just a vessel for their lustful fantasies and desires. or worse, someone to loathe. a mirror for their broken egos and a canvas for their projections. im not exactly sure when this started. but the veil never once dropped. why would there be any need?

i was never meant to be seen, only consumed. an archetype in someone else’s narrative. a body to be interpreted, misread and discarded. they put me in that box a long time ago and i can’t seem to get myself out of it. and yet…it’s familiar here. i can finally drop the mask. be whoever i want to be. without judgement. without pretending. without feeling like i have to put on a show. and still, i have no idea who i am. what i feel. if i feel. it’s all…futile.

i wonder - can anyone see me? can anyone hear me? i’ve made myself so small just to fit into that box again.

i don’t want to perform anymore. not right now. not for anyone. not for you. don’t make me do it. just let me be. just leave me in this box with this aching catharsis. it’s the only form of intimacy that’s comforting. that doesn’t terrify me. that doesn’t feel like a threat.

wasting away. that’s what im good at. always have been and always will. the longer i stare at my flesh, the more i envision the grotesqueries for what a sharp blade was made for. pain. it doesn’t end nor do i become accustomed to it. inevitably, i grow numb to it- until i ache for it once more. i have an insatiable appetite for it. i hunger for it. is it a sin to want to divulge in this perverted fantasy? if the answer is yes then i am perpetually doomed to a lifetime of inescapable transgression. and yet, will someone join me in this existence of torment and despair? will they willingly succumb to suffering with me?
