One year of residency.🤍

I honestly don’t even know how to put this past year into words.

There have been good days, really hard days, days I questioned everything, and days I surprised myself.

I’ve learnt so much! not just about radiology, but about myself, people, patience, resilience, friendship, mentorship and grace.

So, I thought I’d document a few things I’ve learnt along the way.

I’m still learning. Still growing. Still figuring things out.

But one thing I know for sure: I’m not the same person who started this journey one year ago.

I genuinely thought it was just AC and chills😂

Grateful for the experiences.

A special shoutout to the little family residency gave me. 🤍

To my very own consultant, Dr. Girei, thank you for carrying my matter on your head and for constantly looking out for me and pushing me to become a better person every day. I’m truly grateful.

And to my chief, Dr. Abubakar, thank you for always being just one call away. Your support has meant more than you know.

I honestly don’t know how I would have survived this journey without my girls. 🤍

@yourthank you for being there since housejob days till date. I’m super grateful for you and for having you through all these seasons.

@kadhh, my radiology twin 😂🤍 thank you for always listening to my rants, the endless radiology talk and everything in between.

Residency would definitely have been different without you both.

I’ve learnt not be hard on my self. We learn everyday!

Working with @phaez_ gave me a better approach to reporting. Forever grateful!

We hopped on the *When Two Worlds Collide* challenge ✨

It was such a chaotic day, but I was determined to record a little glimpse of what my day actually looks like in the ultrasound room.
It definitely wasn’t perfect or polished, but that’s the reality sometimes!

Hopped on this challenge, and while I’ve seen some of the not-so-nice messages from seniors, I’m here to say that when it comes to thoughtful, intentional and supportive seniors, I can scream it out loud that I am blessed with some amazing ones. 🥹🤍

POV: you’re the radiologist on call. 🩻

Lately, my calls have been quite eventful.
And while I definitely feel the physical and mental toll, I’m also proud of the doctor I’m becoming and grateful for every opportunity to learn, grow and get better.
