We woke up this morning to some news that has made this an extra happy hump day... our very own David Ziehr and Ryan Worsley have both been nominated for best audio engineer from the Western Canadian Music Awards! So pumped for Daver, who is receiving his first personal nomination! Way to go, Dave! Ryan has also been nominated, once again, for producer of the year. This is a special one, I get to introduce you to my friend Ryan Worsley, who has been behind all the Con The Artist mixes. I’ve known Ryan for 10+ years and love everything he works on. I’ve been creating music freely without worrying about sound quality, and only focussing on production, because I know that when Ryan mixes my tracks he will take it to the next level in a way I couldn’t.

The key thing is, have faith in others that come on board to help you out 🙌🏻 a team is important

We just finished 2 incredible days of recording with the unbelievably talented, wise, & soulful artistry of @alyshabrilla.

We holed up at @echoplant studio where we dove deep into the nitty gritty of recording a track that is near and dear to each of our hearts: Salt Around The House.

A song steeped in story, ancestral inheritance, badass sass, and humble reckoning.

“Our freedom is dangerous to you…” 🕯️

We can’t wait to release this track into the world. ✨

“No Competition” was produced by @peewezelcue Mixed and mastered by @mikemillzonem and I recorded my part at @echoplant with @the_wonderfulocious_man ya’ll check out this amazing team who made magic on this song! Massive congrats to @the_wonderfulocious_man man on this stache, but even more impressive is the massive talent in 17 year old @tysonvenegas who just made top 24 on American Idol. It's so amazing to not just see how far you've come, but even more exciting to see how far you'll go.
