JUST ADDED: @echopsmusic B2B @alkota__ 👨‍✈️👨‍✈️

ECHOPS grew up in Burlington, Vermont on piano, then taught himself to record what he was playing. Production started in 2013. EDM came next, once he realized artists like Skrillex, Kill The Noise, Haywyre, Habstract, Virtual Riot, and The M Machine were building those records in the same software he was already using. In 2014 he started DJing on his phone and never really stopped collecting and mixing. A physical deck only showed up in the last two years.

In high school he made a track for a class-wide dance piece and the principal gave it first place. In college he and his friends made a full trap rap album while he studied marketing and music. He’s been putting that work into ECHOPS ever since.

Alkota, originally from Minneapolis, grew up heavily influenced by UK bass music and pioneering producers like Skream, Benga, and Caspa. His journey behind the decks began in 2016, mixing with friends at after-hours sessions around Minneapolis and quickly developing a deep connection to dubstep and sound system culture.

Rooted in the deeper side of 140, Alkota’s sets move through bass-heavy dubstep, experimental sounds, and carefully selected underground cuts. With a wide-ranging selection and an emphasis on weight, space, and low-end pressure, his sound pays homage to the foundations of UK dubstep while constantly reaching into the more forward-thinking edges of bass music

They close @nextdoorhi tonight at 1-2🏝️
