POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Four decades.
Despite the world being six degrees of separation apart, people tend to only know their little bubble, the inner layers of Dunbar's Number. They tend to stay within their network and near their hometown. Yes, there are billions of irrelevant people but there are hundreds who are very special, often only for a short time period within their lives.
Assuming all goes well, out of the 4,000 weeks of life, you don't spend anywhere as many hours actually living as you do trying to survive. The start of life is spent preparing to for the day you can live on your own, 900 weeks until you can drive and maybe a few more until you can support yourself. How many of those weeks do you really have where you have the choice and resources to choose what to do, before your health, obligations, and circumstances eat away the rest?
Who you choose to allow yourself to be surrounded by determines how much progress you make, or how much of your time they waste, hold you back, or destroy your potential. Sometimes, you aren't put in a situation where you learn what kind of person someone really is until 800-1,000 weeks later.
Where you choose to be determines your life. Some people never leave and never know how much better life could be, or how much worse other places are. When you see worse, you wonder why they don't leave. When you see better, you wonder why you're wasting your life in a place you hate, doing things you don't like.
Being busy, whether just trying to get through each day, or living your best life, time passes quick, especially looking back, especially if you haven't grown. Always strive to meet new people, have new experiences, and visit new places. Then you can look back, be reminded of all of the variety in life, and have a difficult time choosing the most impactful or happy times from your life.
Meeting the right people can have the most impactful life-changing effect that changes the course of your life.
If you see something good, find out the truth and try to replicate the good and separate it from the inevitable bad.
Constantly chasing and exacting revenge on bad or unconsciously incompetent people is a waste. There are too many by @echowhiskey17

Not popular enough to livestream 🤣
P.S. No clue how to drive this track.
Want to get a 320-350mm wheel and stronger wheel base but it's expensive and I still want to be able to play on PlayStation, not just PC. by @echowhiskey17

The strangest random chill arcade ever that's not even full yet has tons of modern Japanese arcades. I swear it's Japanese owned or something because there's a chill worker area and the bar feels like a K Box and smells like Japanese food. Maybe, I'm just reaching. Surprisingly not overun by otaku weebs. I think the most offsetting thing that made me wonder if I drove through a portal somewhere was that the arcades and even the parking meters just used quarters, and was still a dollar per play. Parking was 25 cents an hour. What?! Straight into the parking meter and straight into the machines, no token exchange. I ended up driving like ten miles of neighborhood streets, though. Is there no highway in here???

Sadly, since this was probably like the 10th version of Initial D Arcade and I had only played ver3 and a little bit of 4 back in 2004, a lot of things had changed. What's a MIMO card!? Also no English translation. Also a gated shifter, now. Driving physics improved and brakes actually work although if anyone were to complain about steering feel, Initial D Arcade would be the one time I would complain.

Touge courses are SO MUCH more interesting than the safer racetracks we have in real life. Some new music is nice. It's still noisy. Vintage JDM exhaust tones almost got me wanting to try out a different exhaust. Didn't get to create a character or modify a car because I don't have a save card. Very fun. Will be back, especially because it's so empty.

Also more fun than a simulator cafe because it doesn't cost $100 an hour or whatever to play on questionably maintained sim rigs. These cars, this era, these courses; this is real culture.

S2000 History Part XVI
I kind of don't remember what events I did during the second half of 2025 and the first half of 2026 but maybe it's because I went to the track so much without actually tracking the S2000. by @echowhiskey17
