Behind the Scenes with Our Summer Campers — Part 6: Hurdle Development!! 🎥: @tree.the.creator This session features my middle school hurdler, preparing for the upcoming AAU Junior Olympics. The primary objective is to refine her technical model and develop the speed, rhythm, and efficiency necessary to compete in both the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles at the Junior Olympics!Session Focus:🔹 Dynamic Warm-Up: Prepare the athlete for high-velocity movement while addressing mobility, activation, and sprint-specific mechanics.🔹 Hurdle Drills: Reinforce lead-leg and trail-leg mechanics, posture, hip mobility, and efficient hurdle clearance.🔹 Acceleration to Hurdle 1: Develop the appropriate acceleration pattern and stride organization into the first hurdle while maintaining projection and rhythm.🔹 Stride Pattern Development: Emphasize the correct approach mechanics and rhythm leading into the first three hurdles.🔹 Compressed Hurdle Spacing: Jammed-in spacing was used as a constraint to encourage a quicker, more efficient three-step rhythm and improve the athlete’s ability to adjust her stride pattern.🔹 Velocity Maintenance: The goal is to build toward maximum velocity while maintaining technical efficiency and horizontal speed through Hurdle 5.Feel free to ask questions or drop a comment!#Hurdles #HurdleTraining #HurdleTechnique #AthleteDevelopment #trackandfield by @ecis_showcase

Behind the Scenes with our Summer Campers-Parts 4!🚨 Parents & Coaches: When should athletes learn proper running mechanics?Ages 8–12 are a critical window for developing foundational movement skills like posture, coordination, rhythm, foot & arm placement, and efficient sprint mechanics. But here’s the key: athletes don’t need to run like elite sprinters overnight. Great mechanics are built progressively through age-appropriate drills and consistent practice.❌ Don’t wait until they’re “older” to teach them how to move efficiently.✅ Build the foundation early—and refine it as they grow.Better mechanics = more efficient movement, improved performance, and a stronger foundation for long-term athletic development.Start with the basics. Master the movement. Build the athlete. 🔥 #AthleticDevelopment #SpeedTraining #RunningMechanics #SportsPerformance #LongTermAthleteDevelopment by @ecis_showcase

Behind the Scenes with Our Summer Campers — Part 3! 🏃‍♂️🏈In this portion of camp, I’m working with two of our older athletes: one collegiate sprinter and one elite-level high school quarterback. The goal of this session is to improve explosive acceleration, increase force production with every stride, and develop explosive power for sprinting while improving stride length without sacrificing stride frequency.Any improvement in sprint efficiency can translate to improved speed performance on the track and the football field. For my football player, the goal is simple: I’m training him to be fast and explosive so he can quickly pick up 10–30 yards at any given time in a game. I don’t overcoach him with track-specific terminology. Instead, I teach him how to sprint efficiently and effectively.Workout: 📝Sprint Contrast Training• 30m Sled Sprint• 90 seconds of rest between reps• Repeat for 6 reps• Increase rest to 2 minutes after the 3rd rep• 30m Unresisted Sprint(6 reps) slow W.B’ RestThis type of contrast training helps transfer force production into faster sprinting! 🏃🏽🏃🏻‍♂️🏈🔥💨#SpeedTraining #SprintTraining #FootballTraining #TrackAndField #ExplosivePower by @ecis_showcase

Behind the Scenes with Our Summer Campers — Part 2!Teaching, coaching, and mentoring young athletes on how to execute a specific workout is one of the many aspects of coaching that can help an athlete reach their full potential. When mistakes happen, race strategy and tactics are not always verbalized during training. Here, I’m giving a young 400m runner—who recently qualified for the AAU Junior Olympics—a play-by-play explanation of the effects of not applying proper race strategy and tactics during practice.Every repetition is an opportunity to learn, improve, and prepare for competition! 🏃🏽‍♀️🔥💨 by @ecis_showcase

Behind-the-Scenes with Our Campers 🏃🏾🏃🏻‍♀️🔥💨Speed isn’t just about running fast—it’s about mastering the details. The combination of speed, strength, power and technique is truly priceless. One of the biggest reasons athletes lose races is a breakdown in sprint mechanics during the final 20–30 meters. That’s why this session was all about the fundamentals: drills, repetition, and proper technique. Great mechanics create efficient movement, helping athletes finish strong when it matters most.🎥 : @tree.the.creator #SpeedTraining #SprintMechanics #YouthAthletes #TrackAndField #AthleteDevelopment by @ecis_showcase

Week 2, Day 4 (7/9/26) Camp Memories | Force Plate Testing Day!Today was all about performance assessment! Our campers completed force plate testing to evaluate key aspects of athletic performance.During our data review, we identified two common areas for improvement among many athletes:-Single-leg jump height asymmetries (high percentage of asymmetry)-Reduced power output, reflected by a lower Modified Reactive Strength Index (mRSI)The good news? With consistent, targeted training, many athletes demonstrate measurable improvements in strength, power, and overall movement quality.By repeating force plate testing every 8–12 weeks, we can objectively track progress, monitor performance changes, and ensure each athlete’s training program is delivering the desired results. 📸 @cspotmedia -Interested in learning more about our camp?📧 For camp information, contact sanjayayre@mymvpfitness.com📧 To learn more about True Sports PT, contact Dr. Christie Chiesa at christie@truesportspt.com. by @ecis_showcase

It Got Real This Morning For our 200/400m Runners. After Accelerations, the workout was 4x250 with 5min rest b/w. This workout in particular is a special endurance workout for sprinters(especially a 400m specialist). We worked at 85% to 100% intensity. This sessions trains the body to resist fatigue and manage high lactate levels, resulting in a stronger finish during competitive races. Because our athletes are young, I greatly emphasize the importance of execution. by @ecis_showcase

🚨 Quick PSA! 🚨 Week 2 of camp starts this Monday, and we’re excited to welcome Dr. Christie Chiesa, PT, DPT, SCS (@chiesa.dpt) for Force Plate Testing!Dr. Chiesa is the Clinical Education Director at @truesportspt and a Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist. I highly recommend this testing for athletes of all ages and levels.Force plate testing measures the forces your body produces against the ground during movements like sprinting and jumping. This data helps coaches, physical therapists, and sports scientists evaluate performance, identify strengths and weaknesses, and guide training to improve performance while helping reduce injury risk.Spots are limited, so register now at this URL- TINYURL.COM/ECISCAMPS2026 #ForcePlateTesting #SportsPerformance #AthleteDevelopment #SpeedTraining #2eaglesports by @ecis_showcase
