Visit with me at my studio this weekend, October 10 and 11th from 12 to 6 PM @greenestreetartistscoop

I’ll be featuring a selection of paintings, prints, and drawings spanning nearly twenty years of my practice. The work moves between representational landscapes and figures, abstract and imagined realms, and explorations of mythology, history, travel, music, nature, and the curious connections between them. All works will be available for purchase.

I’m looking forward to reconnecting with friends, collectors, clients, and fellow artists after a few years away. There will be delicious food and drinks, plenty to look at, and hopefully a relaxed atmosphere to spend some time together and talk about the work.

This event is part of the Philadelphia Open Studio Tour, which is happening throughout Northwest Philadelphia that weekend. There will be many studios with open doors nearby, within walking distance, a bike ride, or a very short drive from my studio. I encourage you to explore the many offerings and make a full day of it. Two of my favorite studio buildings within walking distance from me are @firehouseartsgermantown and Herman Street Studios (20 E Herman St.).

Visit with me at my studio on October 10 and 11, from 12–6 PM.

After a two-year hiatus from the Philadelphia Open Studio Tour, I’m very happy to be opening my doors again—and this year, there is quite a bit to share.

For the past two years, I’ve been renovating my studio/home, transforming the space into an environment where I can live, work, think, and create. I’ve created room to share my own work, alongside works by modern and contemporary artists I’ve long admired. I’m excited to finally share the new space, as well as these works, with you.

Most importantly, I’m looking forward to reconnecting with friends, collectors, clients, and fellow artists after a few years away. There will be delicious food and drinks, plenty to look at, and hopefully a relaxed atmosphere to spend some time together and talk about the work.

Please let me know if you’re able to join me. I’d really love to see you. DM for address.

A big congratulations to Jim Cory on the publication of his newest collection of essays and stories Why Is That Goddamned Radio On? Available for purchase from @radiator_press

I am very appreciative to him for choosing my painting Revolution, 2020-2021 for the cover art.

“Jim Cory’s fictions are accretions of quiet wisdom and shrewd observations. Elegantly written, they are witty, slyly humorous, and unfailingly urbane. Readers who appreciate Cory as a consummate poet will be delighted to discover he’s also a consummate storyteller.”

— Vincent Czyz, author of The Christos Mosaic
