PSA ~ don’t forget the altar you were born through. This is a snippet from Eclectica Hub’s Rooted in Remembrance Podcast available on Spotify and Apple. This episode is ‘The Pathway to Feminine Maturation’ 🩸 by @eclectica.hub
For the women called to remember… To return to the body as a sacred site of truth and allow the body to speak and move as prayer. Through visionary dance, rites of passage, somatic arts, and ceremony, we gather to honour the body as oracle ~ a vessel for storytelling and a keeper of feminine mythos. These images are drawn from last year’s Byron Immersion, capturing the essence of what this work evokes: raw expression, remembrance, and reclamation (Captured by the incredible @mikemikha_) 🌀 Comment ‘SYDNEY’, ‘BYRON’, or ‘NEW ZEALAND’ to receive info on our upcoming immersions by @eclectica.hub
Rooted in Remembrance lands tomorrow 🩶 A brand new season of our podcast and an invitation to join us by the metaphorical fire, where we share stories drawn from the ancient, the intimate and the unspoken. This new iteration has been stripped down to the bone. It arrives not only with a new name, but a slower deeper pulse. One that’s been tempered by all the thresholds we have both crossed, and enriched by the truth that has been etched into our skin from the other side. We speak from the marrow of birth, of death, of grief, of growth, and unpack what it truly means to lead with soul. This is for those who remember, or ache to. For those ready to reclaim what the modern world forgot. To break the spell of amnesia and to return to a place of thriving. Episode one arrives tomorrow. Come, take your seat by the fire 🔥 Photo by the incredible @aimeerachael.photography by @eclectica.hub
A short film born from our shared devotion to the body, ritual and the wisdom of women, this film explores the tenderness of living in a changing body within a culture that asks us to remain forever young. Over four days, we gathered in circle with women of different ages, ancestries, shapes and stories. Through embodied practices and ceremony, we laid on the altar what we’d learned to reject in the privacy of a mirror and practised inhabiting our bodies as sacred ground. There is money to be made every time a woman learns to recoil at another part of herself. From cosmetics to plastic surgery, entire industries profit when we measure our worth based on how desirable we are. If we’re willing to tell the whole truth, we have to reckon with the ways we’ve helped keep that culture alive. What have we participated in? Where have we become custodians of the very beliefs that seek to keep us in cycles of perpetual self-hatred? Which features have we learned to reject, when they’re the ones our grandmothers or great grandmothers passed down to us? In circle, we laid our grief on the earth. We mourned the years spent searching our bodies for flaws and all the pleasure we denied ourselves of because we didn’t feel beautiful enough to enjoy our bodies as they are. Then we danced. We celebrated our bodies in the forms they already take, the flesh that carries us from our first breath to our last. In a culture that profits from our self-rejection, that celebration is a sacred rebellion. May this video reach those who need to remember. May we we all come home to the body as altar and remember what has always been ours: Celebrating your body is your fucking birthright. A collaboration between @eclectica.hub and @inbluem. True magnetism has nothing to do with the absence of fine lines. It comes with the choice to deeply inhabit your body - every crease, mark and trace of a life that has been lived. A gentle reminder that the thoughts we tell ourselves are often a product of our environment, and very little to do with your intrinsic self worth. The Red Thread dance film was co-created after a monthlong artist immersion- we came together to move these songs, dances, and prayers through our bodies in deep co-creative space. We offered several performances and dance immersions earlier this year in Australia, and to cap off this incredible creative convergence we went to the woods to capture the magic. This was such a magical way to spend my last days in Oz. Working with @eclectica.hub was a dream come true and I am so grateful for this visual capsule that holds so much of the magic we got to savor in while together This movement poem is an offering to that which connects us in our human journey - birth, death, reclaiming our wild essence with reverence for the ancient path of remembrance. 🫀 A collaboration between @maryastark and @eclectica.hub Visually captured, edited and sound design by @mikemikha_ Directed by Alana Woodward, Eclectica Hub and Marya Stark Featuring @annamaria.visionary @demiileeee @alanainwonder @marleythorpe_ @_heidi_knight_ @_hannahvela_ and @clairee_de_lune_ Choreo @annamaria.visionary @demiileeee and @lahnigordon Wardrobe @nomadicaclothing and @handmade_tania_angeli Full Film on YT #redthread #dancefilm #wombwisdom #wildwoman by @eclectica.hub
RITES is Our One-Month Artist Development Programme Comment RITES below for your invitation 🌀 A visionary dance intensive dedicated to nourishing the artist within, and developing the embodied foundations of compelling performance. Integrating embodiment, somatic arts, storytelling, ritual theatre and rite of passage, RITES approaches artistic development as a process of personal and creative initiation. Through guided exploration and village-style group process, artists are invited into greater depth of feeling, presence and expression. These experiences become a foundation for the stage: expanding emotional range, deepening the relationship between movement and meaning, and cultivating the capacity to inhabit a story fully. And hence, say yes to life fully. We tend to move through life quite anaesthetised, and RITES invites artists to access the depths of their humanhood. The ensemble becomes a village of practice, where individual discovery is witnessed and supported, and artistic expression develops through relationship. RITES nurtures the artist as both storyteller and conduit, able to give form to feeling, embody the frequency of a work, and bring an audience into an experience that can be felt 🤍 Brothers and sisters, please join us! What is good skin? And who told us what to believe in the first place? To me, good skin tells a story of a life that has been lived - with devotion, reverence and respect. When we feel a connection to our purpose, the surface layer details become inconsequential. Comment AGING for the full podcast episode from Botox to Belonging. by @eclectica.hub

Body of altar : The Dark Mother called me with her sassiness and wit The Wise Mother called me with her compassion and wisdom The Wild Mother called me with her wilderness and freedom A gift from the Universe We went together into the Underworld Led by the leadership of @demiileeee @annamaria.visionary and @montanalower Through movement, joy and nourishment We untied the helplessness, the global distortion, and the false beliefs suffocating us. With soul radiance and remembering of our legacy we held space as each person came home to their self. The journey wasn’t easy but the Great Mother and the ancient lands of Bundjalung country held us and grounded us. Coming back to our body as the altar, our breath as the prayer and our thoughts as spells. We reignited the potency of our sexual energy using it alchemise what no longer serves us. Creating a world of self acceptance, sweet love and matriarchal remembrance centered around mothers and our babies. **Dedicating this energy towards self love and coming back to our bodies as the altar.** In deep reverence to @eclectica.hub and @inbluem_au for this deep container. Signing off, Your wild aunt - Sai #matriarchalrising #untwiningfalseconditioning #bodyreconciliation by @eclectica.hub
